Hey ladies,

I need your help please. I recently did two strand flat twist on my mothers kind of coarse 3c/4a hair and I only used Eco Styler gel. However, she does NOT like rubberbands at all. Could you guys possibly make a suggestion about other hair accesories or products I could use to secure her style.

TIA

I never used rubber bands for flat twists. They don't unravel if you're twisting ti all the way until the end.

I temporarily hold them down with a bobby pin until they dry but long term I don't hold them down with anything.

When you say rubberbands, does that also include the goody bands?

:bump: :bump: for more replies.

Yeah, I thought with natural hair you would not need to secure at the end, just twist it all the way through...

However, I did try this on my relaxed hair and cant get it right to save my life...lol

faithVA yes, but she just doesn't like rubberbands at all. I don't want them to unravel or loosen while I am waiting on them to dry.

Gemini350z I'm sorry let me clear that up... She wants the part that is on the scalp flat twisted and leave the ends out curly, if that helps.

They don't hurt and you leave them in till they dry.

I make the last inch of the twist a braid/corn row, that should keep it from unraveling
