Clip in extensions over it. I love the color btw.

You have some black before the dye starts so a little leeway with the clips. Maybe dye the very top so you can hide the clips. Or use some black hairspray for the top while hiding the rest with extensions.

I wouldn't allow my boss to "ruffle" my hair, but that's another story regarding workplace boundaries.

I love your hair and would love to have similar highlights myself were I not in such a conservative White/Asian male - dominated field. So I vote for some sort of temporary black hair color over your streaks and see if your boss actually comes through on your promotion.
