Yesterday, I went to visit my dad for Father's Day. Come to find out, he suffered a stroke back in February and could not call me because he lost my phone number:eek:  . He's doing better now.

I trimmed my hair, or I should say started cutting it. I think I was still in shock over my dad, so I took it out on my hair. I never did this before, but yet I'm not afraid to self relax. Ladies I need your opinion. Do I need to trim some more or should I wait until I relax again. The link to my fotki is in my siggy.

TIA :)

I'm glad you got to spend some time with your dad on Father's Day! Be careful about taking things out on your hair though! Fortunately, it looks to me like you did a really good job, your ends appear to be thick and healthy so hopefully you can continue to maintain that and you won't have to trim again in a while, besides the occasional dusting. Did you trim your hair while it was wet? I feel like sometimes that causes one to trim a lot more than if it's dry, so maybe you should dust the ends dry.

I'm so sorry to hear that your dad had a stroke! :( I will keep him and you in my prayers.

Your hair looks great! :rosebud:  :rosebud:  I think that it will be a while before you need to cut/trim your hair, again.

HighlyFavored1, I will be very careful not to things out on my hair :) I did my cut\trim while my hair was dry. I'm gonna try to take really good care of my ends and see how far I can get with doing dustings. Thanks for the compliment.

Thank you Mestiza and Cocowhite for your thoughts and prayers for my dad. I'm praying for him as well:)

I'll wait and see what my hair will do at the end of this year and do some dustings to keep things intact.
