NEED HELP!!!

Hello everyone, I want to start wearing my hair in a bun to protect my ends. What do you all use to give your hair that nice sleek look when you pull your hair back into a ponytail or bun. I've tried beeswax (the yellow jar) and that did absolutely nothing for my hair. My hair type is 4a/4b, any suggestions

I use IC Fantasia gel to slick my hair down before tying a scarf over it to help it lay down.

Dabur Vatika Oil is good (after you have moisturized; I use NTM Silk touch to moisturize).

If you don't use Dabur Vatika Oil, I think any kind of coconut oil will do. It gives a really nice shine. I also use Wild Growth Oil. For some reason, the new formula of WGO is not as thick as the bottle I bought a couple of years ago (yes, one bottle lasted me that long!), but it still is good to lay the hair down though.
