Need help with definitions and processes

i've been lurking for some time and need help, because i'm SO lost. it would be great if someone could create a sticky for new folks defining acroynyms and the like.

ABL
ABS

what's the baggying technicque?
doesn't petroleum jelly have mineral oil in it? aren't these agents drying agents?
i don't understand trying to make a relaxer last? your hair is supposed to grow, so what's wrong with seeing new growth in two weeks?

can someone dumb it down for me?

i'm a 4a/4b thin strands. below the shoulder, reformed no-lye relaxer user. now using affirm and slowly cutting out the nasty calcified hair erplexed
