For my Holiday 'do' , I pressed my 12 weeks worth of new growth out with my ceramic curling iron & I did a pretty good job

(tooting my own, I know!)

Anyway, I have an appointment Friday morning for my re-touch. With the way my hair is, the stylist definitely won't notice all of the new growth (because of the straightness) SO--anyone know how I can revert it tomorrow night without making my scalp too sensitive for the re-touch. The only thing I've thought of is doing a really strenuous workout (which might actually be great after all that Holiday eating) but I'd like other suggestions as well in case the workout doesn't work (or I don't feel like working out

you can spray water near the root of your hair and let it air dry...that works for me.

I don't know about the water thing, Supergirl, maybe it's okay if you haven't been scratching. I was told to not even work-out the day before a re-touch to make sure my scalp was totally dry. (I sweat profusely on cardio days). I know that you trust your stylist, so maybe give him/her a call and see what they suggest. Let us know.

I've heard (like Dutchess) that working out is not a good idea before a relaxer. I'm sorry I can't help you, my hair reverts in the dew and I've NEVER had this problem.
