instead of making a split decision to relax? I notice so many people reverting back to the relaxer. Are you sure this is what you want to do? Don't do it just because a few women decided to do this. Maybe weave will help you finalize your decision before you go full force and relax.

Just a suggestion.

That is a great suggestion. I'm texturized, but my texture is closer to my natural texture and I've been getting really tired of the big hair, and sometimes think about switching to fully relaxed. /images/graemlins/ohwell.gif So I just ordered a straight instant weave to try out and may also put in a sew-in weave for a while. I go through this here and there with my hair, and have found that sometimes you just need a change FOR A WHILE--not necessarily permanently....

I know, something temporary is what we all need once in a while. I know i love to switch up styles but I can't imagine throwing away 1,2,3+ years of natural growth in the matter of 24 minutes - just for a relaxer. I'm not trying to knock anyone's decisions but I believe it's best to try something temporary before making a permanent decisions.

Even the world's best plastic surgeons do this. I think they make women wear stuffed bras before getting implants--just so they can give themselves a test run.

I think this is a good idea too. Yeah I would be pretty angry with myself becasue I did the BC and chopped off 16 inches of hair...it would be pointless to ME because had I know I was going to do that I would have just done a long transition. Im not speaking for anyone else though. this is just how I feel. I want to try a curly sew in but Im not sure just yet. If all else fails Im going to get a wig.

I think that everyones reason to go natural is very subjectional. they should figure out what it is that they want to achieve with their hair in the long run, and rationalize . This could save a lot of time.
