My hair hates activators and all those water-based sprays. I even tried to make my own using vegetable glycerine, aloe vera juice, water and some oils. Hated it! My hair felt like crunchy wet hay!

My hair responds better to creamy leave-ins. And when i wanna define my curls (which is a rare occasion), I use a mix of a thick conditioner, EVCO and honey on damp hair. Great hold and definition!

I'm too scared of gel but I've seen a lot of other naturals on here have great results with it.

I use Kinky Curly Curling Custard. I haven't tried anything else since it's been working for me.
