I just really want to know what kind of conditioners people are using. particularly naturals, but everyone really. It doesn't matter... leave in, wash out, watery, creamy, whatever... WHAT IS IT? I need one.

For cowashes I usually use a cheapie (Suave, V05, White Rain), but sometimes I'll use Elasta QP Intense Fortifying Moisture.
For DC's, I use Elasta QP Intense Fortifying Moisture, or the Caramel treatment.
For leave-ins, I've used Oyin's Honey Hemp (personal favorite) and AfroDetangler, lately I'm using a largely shealoe butter mix.....

washing-joico's moisture recovery

leave-in-carol daughter's healthy hair butter. after all these years that stuff is the only leave in that works. it was really banging when i used it my curly pudding but now that their sale is over i cannot afford to by anything else from them. they are too expensive

anyone have some good experience with honey fig? i saw *some* items i was interested in but really want to get more reviews. can't afford to really be doing trial by error right now

I use the HE Long-Term Relationship in the large bottle for co-washes and regular conditioning.

I use LeKair's Cholesterol when I am DC'ing or need something to comb through my hair when rinsing. I usually mix this with honey or EVOO.

Tip: Anything thick that gives your hair slip and lasting moisture when rinsed is great! I look for the thickest conditioners I can find. Suave just isn't thick enough for me....

West side representin' here too! I am in the Ville now though. :) Anywhoo, back to the subject, I use DNL Ultracholesterol as my dc, ORS replenishing pak as a backup dc, I recently started using the Tresemme Anti-Breakage conditioner and I am LOVING it because it detangles my 4a hair so well! At $1.30 a bottle at Big Lots, I couldn't resist after reading some reviews here on the board about it.

for co-wash i use Suave Naturals or Herbal Essence None of Your Frizzness
for DC i use Aubrey Organics Honey Suckle Rose
for leave-in i use Shea Moisture Leave-in Conditioner

Deep Conditioner - Aphogee Treatment

Weekly Conditioner - Aveda Damage Remedy and Aveda Smooth Infusion

Leave-In Conditioner - CHI Keratin Mist

While wearing my braid/twist extensions, I use light water based leave-ins such as: Oyin Honey Hemp Conditioner, AfroDetangler, Hawaiian Silky 14 in 1. On my loose hair, I need conditioners/moisturizers that are much more emolient like shea butter, Miss Jessie's hair creams, or QhemetB's Alma heavy cream.

I love conditioners, so I have many! My last few washes I used Aubrey Organics GPS Conditioner, Silicon Mix and Salerm 21 as my leave in.

I, too, am using Tresemme Anti-Breakage conditioner, and I love it also. It really does a great job aa detangling my hair. I also like to fact that's it's heavy so I can really coat my hair well with it without it dripping all over the place.

V05 honeydew smoothie conditioner
V05 juicy mango passion conditioner
Nature's Gate jojoba revitalizing conditioner
Nature's Gate aloe moisturizing conditioner
Nature's Gate daily herbal conditioner
LaBella rainforest water mango moisturizing conditioner
Duo Tex protein conditioner
Surya Henna volume reducer tucuma butter leave-in
Surya Henna color fixation buriti oil leave-in
Palmer's coconut oil formula replenishing hair milk leave-in

I plan on getting this to try for cw's this weekend. Currently, I am using Peter Coppola daily co for cw and Pantene breakage defense mask or Silk2 moistec co for deep conditioning.

Much of the same as listed.

Honey Hemp is a fave for a leave-in.

I also found that diluting a Vo5 with aloe juice, honey, glycerine and flax and/or hemp seed oil makes for an excellent leave-in as well.

Needed this info too, so thanks to the OP for starting this thread. And thanks for all the responses, sighs, sooooo many choices, and I only use Suave and V05 right now. I've just purchased Aubrey Organics, and so I'm looking to see how that one does in my hair.

  1. Dove Intense moisture conditioner (creamy, rinse out)--I highly recommend this one
  2. Garnier Fructis leave-in curl cream (creamy, leave-in)--especially good in warmer months
  3. Porosity control conditioner (liquidy, rinse out)--have used for 7+ years on relaxed and natural hair; good for porous hair that doesn't hold moisture in well
  4. Organic root stimulator deep conditioning cream (creamy, rinse out)--really good at helping damaged/neglected hair
  5. V05 conditioner (creamy, rinse out)--really good for pre-poo's and cowashes
  6. Dove moisture mist (spray, leave in)--really nice light mist that revives dry hair between washes

I'm letting you ladies know that she is not lying!!! This eliminated (not lessened, or helped) ELIMINATED my breakage problems. I've been co-washing/washing every day since and this conditioner has not let me down!
