. I think everyone should go natural at least once because so many of us can't remember our natural hair texture. There are many beautiful natural heads on this board. I am considering at least texlaxing because I have less time to do my hair and I'm tired of the tangles and knots. After 7 years, I am well aware that I will be trading one set of issues for a whole other set of issues. Shortdub, I respect your opinion, but I get the sense that you are putting your own issues with hair onto other folks. Straightening does not equal self-hatred/denial for most these days, especially if you have been natural for a while.
