Ok so I'm on the just let it grow reggie. I've gone from trying to do something with it every day (last winter I was sick A LOT time from co-washing) to what I do now and that is just let it do what it do. Anyway I notice that it's been dry lately so I DC's on Friday, and when I came out of the dryer I had the most perfect curls. For reals my hair looked great so I washed out most of the condish, put some gel in it and sat down under the Pibbs. Now if anyone has made that mistake they know I looked like I HAM and had to throw it in a puff because that fan action is no joke. When I looked at myself in the mirror I didn't know if I wanted to laugh or cry. :lachen::blush::lachen::blush::lachen::blush: I was a sight. The curls were perfect I had a little hang time and my hair was deliciously soft. Then I messed it up LOL.

Anywhoo does anyone have something that they do that keeps their hair looking perfect like fresh from a dc or even just washing?

Girl, you are too funny...I was rolling @ the bolded. Bumping for m:lachen:ore replies because I dont have an answer...just wanted to tell you how funny I thought that was LOL

i airdry. after i finish poo'ing or co-washing, i apply my leave in conditioner, moisturizer, and seal it with oil. after it airdry, i am left with curls and shine. oh yeah, don't touch it while its drying. will cause frizz and possible breakage. hope this helped.

It does help, but I don't know if I can keep my hands out of my hair. It's been a year and I thougt I would stop touching it, but I can't. I have a problem.

The number one thing that helps my curls is a Denman brush. After that, not disturbing the hair while it's drying is most important (I air dry).

I also just started using a new product, Texture My Way Curl Keeper by Organics, and it does surprisingly moisturize my hair while at the same time locking my curls in place with minimum frizz. To me it works better than gel at locking curls in place and it moisturizes. When my hair dries after using this, I have soft, moisturized (but not greasy) looking curls, rather than the sorta dry, frizzy curls that can happen all too easily. This may become a staple in my regimen.

SEMO, I've never seen that product before. Is it new?:look: Thanks for starting up my PJ juices.:huh::lachen:

How about using a diffuser on low. YOu know this thing..

SBS-301112

You attach the black thing to the dryer. Set the heat on low and the power on mid or low. And just stick it in your hair at certain places and help it set and dry faster.

Well that is what I've seen the white girls do, who had curls, when I lived in the dorms.

I'm not sure if it's new. I was in the BSS the other day and when I saw the product I remember someone else having mentioned liking it so I gave it a try. It cost only about $5 if that makes it better (sorry for being an enabler, lol).

What are the ingredients? Pretty please.

Is this Africa's Best Organics? They have a cream mositurizing formula in the kids product line that is the best. I can't find it anywhere....Grrr!

OP you had me LMAO with the ham comment. I did a wash n go today..did I mention it was cold and rainy and I take the bus to work? Well I'm sick as a dog now. I normally can get second hair day if I co-wash, leave-in condish and then seal with castor oil. The castor oil helps me keep my hair moisturized for a few days. I can spritz the next day instead of wetting my entire head.I also can use Hairveda Whipped Cream on my ends to make the curls look nice.

Tonight I will rollerset because I don't feel good and I'm too busy at work to call in sick.

Hey Maria,

Your hair looks great - it's gotten sooooooooooooooo loooooooooong. I'm lovinmylocs from naturallycurly.com. I don't go there very often any more since I've started spending all of my time here.

I think your hair is great - loves it. What is this Hairveda that you speak of? I like the sound of whipped cream and something making my curls look nice.

I'm not doing a whole lot of wash n go's since it's gotten cold, but I did one yesterday. I fingercomb my hair after I rinse out the conditioner. I use a lot of leave in conditioner while my hair is dripping wet, then apply whatever styling product I'm going to use. Sometimes I'll shake it and scrunch, and then smooth all the hair back. I then apply my microfiber turban towel, but backwards like this:

And I leave it on while I'm getting ready for work. I have a diffuser too, but it takes a long time to dry, so I usually just use the turban towel, take it off and then go to work or wherever.

I do something similar to KCcurly.

Once I'm out of the shower and my hair is still dripping wet I rub some castor oil or shea butter through my hair (I kind of scrunch it in, I don't know how to explain it). Then I take a t-shirt and wrap it around my head like a turbie twist. I take it off when I'm ready to go (5-10mins later) and my hair is damp. I don't really bother my hair after that.
