I'm sure this has been asked before
But I just dont get it
I do protein....When its weak? And when is that? If that.
My hair has been breaking more and more for the past few weeks... is THIS a sign?

And please recommend one as well
And do I put it on before/after washing and before/after moisturizing cond?

Thanks

When my hair is breaking is when I know it's time. I love the Aphogee Treatment For Damaged Hair. It stops my breakage dead in its tracks.

ok definitely doing this on my next wash
okay i need to know like exactly how to use it and what to do after

When my hair is extra stretchy (too much elasticity) then I do a protein treatment, but I find my hair doesn't need as much protein when its natural. Some Aubrey GPB is enough for me.

Breaking ends can be an indication, yes, but sometimes it means that my ends need to be trimmed or they are extra dry.

any recs?
im such a doe-doe head with this hair stuff
i need details and specifics

I am still in search for my so called "staple". Right now I am using Deva One and it seems pretty good. maybe you could do a search for moisturizing or deep conditioners

My natural hair hates protein...my texturized/relaxed hair loved it. My natural hair even hates protein conditioners so...

I would assume that if your hair shaft hasn't been compromised by a chemical treatment, that protein conditioners should be enough.

I used mild protien twice a month, and a strong moisturizer twice a month - I came to that schedule because I know how my hair SHOULD feel - when it felt too soft, I knew I needed protien, when it felt too hard I knew it needed deep moisture, when it felt just right - it needed light moisture... :lachen:

I told myself this year I will give henna another try. I figure if I do this I will not really need a protein treatment.
I hardly do it now anyway, and when I do it is a light one, GPB on dry hair.

I use eggs (natural source of protein) mixed in with conditioner and oil as a natural protein treatment once a month, it’s a nice alternative to hardcore protein treatments like Aphogee, I don’t have the guts to use something like that. :look:
