I never wear my hair natural, so I would like to try it now as I'm going to a party tomorrow and I would think that it's much less time demanding compared to if I would straighten it.

I know how I want it too look.....I want it to look EXACTLY the way it looks when I'm in the shower hehe :D. I want stretched curls....

I'm really new to this ladies...please help me, what should I use in my hair? Mousse? what else? conditioner...please help cus I'm going out to buy later today cus the party is tomorrow! I live in northern europe so you can imagine how many afro hair care products you would find in the grocery store :ohwell:, but I'll take what I'll find.

Also I'm 3c.

thanks ladies :D

Well...you're not the only one who wants their hair to look exactly as when wet. LOL :D I know I have, but it's just a fact that curly hair is straight/wavy when wet and curls up when it dries.

However, there are some tricks that I use sometimes on those rare occasions when I wear my hair down. I happen to believe that products don't really matter, it's all in the technique.
1. Put all products in when your hair is still wet (shampooed and conditioned).
2. Let it air dry for 45 mins to 1 hour (my hair is still very wet at that point)
3. Usually, I clip it up for a while with a hair comb that leaves no creases, just stretches out the curls a little.
4. For more stretch, dry your hair with a hair dryer on medium warm setting and pull hair downwards as you are drying.

Hey, I just saw that you live in Northern Europe! So do I. :D

I apply NTM leave-in conditioner, NTM anti-frizz cream and coconut oil while in the shower. I allow my hair dry to naturally. After it's dry, I "blast" a shot of warm air on the roots to stretch the curls. It works great!

What I do is cw my hair then i apply a leave in. Let my hair air dry a little then I do my moisturizer and oil add a little gel for hold and then do like one or two big bantu knots with the front of my hair slicked back. Tie it up at night. That usually gets my hair pretty straight. If the party isnt till the following night just add some more gel and keep it tied till you leave. HTH.

Try Beyond The Zone Noodlehead. I did a thread on this. It is so good. It's the only thing that makes my curls look like they do when wet. I have pics in my fotki.
