I'm going to be going to Miami for spring break and I have natural hair... any suggestions for styles that I could use and look cute with??? Any products that would be especially helpful?

If you can do some two strad twists - I find that they are the best 'get wet' style ever - you can let the hang, or if they get too messy looking, pull them up wth a couple elastics and some bobby pins...

Bubblingbrownshuga/Bublnbrnsuga/Naturali-T (sorry sis) went on vaca with her hubby to some wonderful tropical paradise (i want to say jamaica but i not sure) - anwway she either had box braids or the 2-strands and they looked fabulous on her!

come to think of it, i really think it was box braids

she had photos in her fotki, not sure if they're still there or not but it's worth a looksee.

Ugh...if you know how to flat twist you can flat twist your hair up into a fro-hawk..or cornrow it into a frow hawk.

I like puffs. Flat twist outs can be stlyed really uniquely too. Utilize the amazing bobby pin to create up dos.

I say do two strand twist out with your own hair and bring a jar of Fantasia IC Hair Polisher with you it's great for definning the natural curl pattern in our natural hair. It sets fast and doesn't make your hair hard and serves as a moisturizer as well. It works especially well if you plan on going swimming or getting wet. After swimming, do a con wash and retwist with it let the twist stay in for just 1 hour (to set) then undo and your ready to head out again. Hope this helps.

I went to Hawaii last year, and all I did were basically ponytail puffs and half up/half down styles (one night did a shake and go). If I'd felt like it, I would have done two strand twists and brought a bunch of hair accessories for variety.

All I really needed was a good moisturizing conditioner (and/or light protein), styling gel, and hair accessories.
