Anybody know anything? I heard lemon juice can do that but would all that citric acid do damage to the hair?

My mother and I used to lemon juice mixed with honey, and sit out in the sun for 45 min to an hour. We did this as soon as it started to get warm once every two weeks or so, and by mid summer we had a pretty auburn brown color.

The citric Acid does dry out the hair a lot. But we found that the Honey does help to counter the affect a bit. Just make sure you condition a lot afterwards.

And... beware the flies. They for some reason LOVE the scent of this stuff!

Thats a good idea, 45 minutes.......you just need a lot of sun right? do you have to have fresh lemons or can you get lemon juice in a jar?
