Can anyone recommend a salon where I don’t get my 4a/b hair ripped to shreds by a stylist with a hairdryer or rattail comb? Nor have the stylist look at my hair in disgust or as a chore.
I’m looking for a salon that does braids, twists and the occasional press or blowdry that is moderately priced (student friendly prices) and do a good job.
I’ve tried so many places in the past year since I’ve gone natural, and I’m finding it difficult to find a stylist who can work with natural hair without having them blowdry my hair to death so that they can work with it. I’m amazed how many of these so-called stylists don’t know how to use appropriate combs or comb natural hair from the roots to the ends (like relaxed hair).
