I seriously need some rollerset inspiration today. Can I see some pics from naturals (and transitioners) rollersets PLEASE  :look:

I am transitioning. I also did a ponytail rollerset in April (I think).
Didn't get the roots as flat as I wanted because I didn't use enough tension, but I definitely wasn't flat-ironing them (was terrified of heat damage), so it worked well enough. My next one should be better now that I have learned a lot here. :)

^^ WOW! Yours came out great! Definitely put me to shame and I still have relaxed ends! What did you use to get such smooth results (besides tension - which I am still working on).

I use strawlers to roll my hair (the blue ones). And they work out great!! I switch between this and flat two strand twists every week. This is what is getting me through. Sorry if the pics are hard to see.

Oh I didn't even think to post pics of my curlformers set. Those came out wonderfully.

This was my first and only time doing a rollerset. I really want to try it again, but I haven't had the energy to try this again. Maybe in the fall and winter.

Here is my youtube video.

I just did a rollerset on large magnetic rollers. It frizzed/reverted into a sort of spiral set-like 'do. There's also a pic in my siggy.

I think this will be my regular style in the Fall/Winter--as I don't expect as much reversion during the cooler months.

How did your curls stay so defined? Did you use setting lotion? BTW, beautiful hair and style.

Thank you! Not sure how it stayed so spiral-ly looking. I think partially because I used large rollers, so it gave it "room" to revert some--where as if I probably would have used smaller rollers it would have probably reverted into even smaller curls. The only products I used was coconut oil and Salerm 21.

Do you use the Denman D3? That's the most important thing for me. I use my wide tooth comb when putting the sections in bands, then use the denman when putting the rollers on (start at the ends and work your way up). I don't use a setting lotion, just my Hairveda whipped cream leave in. Make sure your hair is damp enough when putting the rollers on and make sure it is completely dry (especially the roots) before you take them out. It also comes out better when you split the ponytails in half and roll them each in the opposite direction. Too much hair on one roller can leave a lot of frizz. I usually do about 7 sections.

Thanks for the tips! I didn't actually get a Denman until last month so I will definitely try it the next time I try a rollerset along with your other advice!

Cute hair & dimples too!

Thank you :)

Wow, great rollersets ladies. Glad this thread was started. I'm sitting here DC'ing right now and will be doing a rollerset afterward and I need more practice. Thanks for the pics and info!

I would love to see a natural 4b rollerset. I can't even begin to wrap my mind around how I would ever be able to do that.
