Hair product junkie reloaded!
So I went on a Carol's Daughter Splurge and needless to say I am NOT impressed. The shampoo is OKAY and so is the oil that I got, but that's about it....i won't be restocking. I do want to start using natural products though.....I don't care about fragrance, I just want my 4a hair to be moisturized. I want a good shampoo and a good conditioner. Anyone got any suggestions?

Hmmm....depending on how much you want to spend on shipping. Anita Grant has YUMMY natural shampoo bars and conditioners cubes-whimsical but really really great. Jane Carter also has a really moisturizing shampoo and conditioner that I use.

I'm sure I'll come back to this thread after I get home and go through my bathroom sink!

I could have told you CD sucked!!!
The only thing I like from them is
Lisa's Hair Elixir... I threw that other
stuff away... but don't buy that Lisa's
Hair Elixir, you can make your own at home
super easy.

I love the entire line of Aubrey Organics, especially the Blue Camomile shampoo and GPB conditioner! I also use Avalon Organics, they have a peppermint shampoo/conditioner with babassou oil that is really nice and makes your scalp tingle. I also like their lemon/shea butter and lavender sets. I buy all of these at my local health store or Vitamin Shoppe. For a moisturizer, I like natural shea butter, although I've recently started using Afro Detangler Creme leave-in conditioner from growafrohairlong.com. It's all natural, smells nice, and works great after shampooing, but not sure yet if it leaves my hair feeling as moisturized when dry as plain shea butter or shea butter with aloe. Hope this helps.

YES, thank you! I may send the rest of this crap to my cousin...lol.
I'm your cousin LOL

I am still trying to find a good moisturizer for my hair. I am a 3c/4a and its hard to make my hair feel moisturized, even though I know it is. Its not that dull but it doesn't have that shine that I am used to. I want to go to natural products and when I start working I would love to make them myself, completely so that I know what is in them and also because I do daily co-washes I am sure that would end up being cheaper...

I only use 100% natural products for my face and hair care and try to keep things as simple as possible

Anita Grant products, the Rhassoul Condish is amazing & the whipped butters are great. There is free global shipping if you spend £50 or more and you can also purchase sample sizes.

Aubrey Organics conditioners as pre-poo treatments, I use the GBP for protein treatments and the Honeysuckle Rose as moisturising treatments. I mix these with Jamaican Black Castor Oil and Honey. For my shampoo & rinse out conditioner, I use their White Camellia range.

Giovanni leave in direct leaves my hair feeling so soft

Spritz: Rosewater, aloe vera juice, essential oils, glycerine

ACV rinse with added essential oils

I also love Shea Butter

I love aubrey organics conditioners. They work for a lot of ppl including myself and they are easily accessible. I put it on dry hair and then wash it out. It can be used as a pre poo treatment, as a co-wash treatment or after shampoo conditioner.

I also like Qhemet heavy cream and wild growth hair oil. WGO works great for keeping my hair pliable and giving me shine. I don't mind the smell ( i like it) and it's easily accessible also.

I make a daily spritz w/ a little glycerin, oil and cheapy conditioners. It works great. I have other products but these are my favorite *natural* products.
