Natural 4s: How long did it take

I highly doubt my hair will ever hang i'm a true 4b and I suspect even at waist length my hair will still shrink to a small afro

i'm APL, a true 4b too and my hair doesn't hang. I dont think type 4 hair is even supposed to hang, is it? anyway, if it is, then its gonna have to be when its extremely long (like hip length) & drenched in products, or when its in dreads or something. But thats ok, I LOVE that my hair doesnt hang, dats the beauty of it, dats the whole point of type 4; its puff action baby!! the only time i notice major hang from my hair is when i henna it. other than that, my hair never hangs.
