I put a lot of stuff in my 1" length hair (don't laugh)

in the morning:
1. my mix: Aveda leave-in Elixir + Infusium 23 + EVOO + Surge + MTG
2. I put disposable cap on that until I finish dress
3. Put Elasta QP glaze to "set" hair (so I'll have curls and not a fro)

in the night:
1. Jason's thin2thick - I like the tingly feeling (gotta find a cheaper way to get it)
2. straight MTG

So, I usually cow everyother morning. I want to start doing this every morning (starting this morning). Should I be using shampoo everyday instead with all this stuff I put on my hair? I usually shampoo once a week or once every other week.

Now, let me tell u: I don't like to shampoo (once, Johnson's baby) - my hair feels stripped. The COWs leave my hair all nice and soft. But, my main concern is clogging scalp and not having clean hair.

What's a girl to do?

If you weren't using all those products, I would agree with darkflame. But since you use a lot of stuff, I don't think ACV will cut it in your case. I would recommend using some kind of clarifying shampoo once in a while.

All you have to do is dilute your shampoo instead of using it full strength and that will cut out the drying or stripping effects.

I think less is more. Especially since product build up is not good for natural hair. I would suggest doing a CW, follow up with leave in conditioner, moisturizer and set it with either EP ELasta gel, or my favorite S-Curl pomade or Fantasia sparklelites gel.

C, my main concern is the gel creating buildup. all the other stuff...well, maybe not the MTG...i wouldn't have a problem just rinsing with hair with water every morning.

Country gal, i basically do what u in the morning. all that stuff's in a "mix". i'd go crazy putting each of those items on separately :( .

I really appreciate the suggestions!
