When your braids begin to start getting loose and nappy starts to peak out at the scalp, does that necessarily mean that your hair is growing or just that the braids are loosening up and it's time to take out the braids. Maybe a combo of the two? Stupid question? My hair has been in these twists for just over a month and i'm already starting to see 1/2 inch of my hair. I want to take them out, but i was trying to leave them in for at least two months.

I think it's a combination of the two....as the hair is growing the braids tend to loosen a bit, but after a month it's definitely growth! HTH
