I just had to post this.
My work colleague told me about this so I went investigating. The way she described it, I thought it was a lot worse.

Here we see the importance of good hair extension and hair care?

Must say, still a very beautiful woman though :ohwell:.

Just MAYBE she had her hairline THREADED? and what we see is the natural hair line growing back in?

JUST A THOUGHT.

Yep, still beautiful lady but that looks like the result of years and years of weaving by so many different industry people. I think they're focus may be less about the health of the real hair and more about the overall look for the runway and pics.

Instead of smacking her maids up side their heads she should've been more assertive about the hair growing out her head!

:lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen: @ the bolded.

Actually, I have seen a girl on u tube shave off her hair line to install a full lace weave :perplexed:ohwell:, don't know if this is normal, but I don't think it was that much.

If I recall, didn't Tyra's hairline go futher back than Naomi's in this pic? I don't know what type of weaves these ladies are getting.

The photo in your first link looks the worse:

Btw what does it mean to have it "threaded?"

OMG- she should give up weaves STAT!!!!!. Yes indeed she is gorgeous, but why in the world woud you want to induce premature balding??!!!!***** NEway I was going to add that I think a side part would look better, alas it does not:nono:. Where is her stylist?????

Threading, just like with "eyebrows". The technique is used to move or "heighten" the hairline. An indian model on ANTM had this done as part of her makeover, she did not make the final cut. RE: Threading, I don't think theres a "graceful" way to grow the hair back.

Hmmm I'm not sure I agree this is threading, why on earth would she WANT to start her hairline so far back, lol.

I love Naomi - well yes she's crazy, but I love her as a model. But can anyone honestly ever say that they've seen her w/o her tresses... She probably doesn't give her own hair a rest and we all know what happens when you do that... Even I'm recovering from some minor thinning from when I wore weaves constantly and didnt give my hair a rest. It's mostly where my parts were and I also have fine hair, so if I still was weaving I'd likely be like Naomi...

Being the fashion industry, I am not surprise it is not worse. What do you expect when you always have people pulling and playing in your hair!:nono:
Imagine how it looks under the wig. She needs a good lace front asap. She does not seem to worried about it.

Some of it could be damage but it looks like she shaves her hairline back. Some people do that for lfs and weaves.

I think Tyra has a naturally big forehead. I saw her on TV once and she referred to it as a "five-head".

She has traction alopecia - the only way (if possible) to cure it is to never wear tight braids or weaves in that area again. She would also need to use something like Rogaine or Mega-Tek / OCT to help restimulate hair growth.

This is very common among frequent weave wearers...If you'll notice Janet Jackson wears wigs and phony ponys because she is trying to avoid this problem (me too) no more weaves or braids for me.

I got my hairline threaded before and it grew back just fine. I posted the results here --> http://www.longhaircareforum.com/showthread.php?t=194109

I agree that it does not seem like Naomi had hers threaded, and I doubt they would do it that far back...unless it was really damaged from weaves and had to go.
