My Walmart Switched Up Some Hair Products

Has your Walmart changed up a lot of its hair products? Mine has (some photos attached). The Palmer's smells nice and seems to have good ingredients. The price point is slightly lower than other lines'.

I saw a shampoo hair stick?!??

I think many brands are trying to cater to consumers need for more environmentally friendly packaging and ingredients as well as those with "jet-setter" lifestyles.

I haven't tried any of the products pictured but I've seen others I would like to try. Not sure I'm sold on shampoo on a stick though.

I'm interested I think the dry shampoo stick would be great for when wearing hair straightened.

Is this one of those brands on the list of sounds-blacked-owned-but-isn't? I can't remember. I do purchase non-black-owned products (such as DevaCurl), but I brought it up for people who might want to check.

The Global Marketing Director, Product Administrator, and some Managers are black.

Does nobody think that's weird? I don't have a problem with it, personally, but I think it's so strange that non-blacks market or provide products for black hair. I wonder what makes them do it or what studies they've done on it? It would be like me having a kick-starter for curling rods targetted for Asian hair. Like that's nice and everything... but whyyyyyy

I was just in there last week, I believe. They have a paltry ethnic hair care section and things cost way more than they used to.

So I just stick with my staples and go for what I know. I think I'm gonna finally try Aussie's new conditioner, though. I kept taking it out of my cart several months ago when I was in there.

But the fact that your Walmart has this many natural hair product selections though.... To get most of these I have to go to the BSS.

I went to wal mart (I can't believe I did THAT, but I won't make that mistake again) and wasn't as excited.

The scalp sticks are something I would pick up if I had a weave in. I think they also could have been useful while my hair was straightened, but I ended up deciding not to grab them. Didn't see any of the Palmer's or Eden stuff. The masks to the left have dimethicone in them, so they're not 'natural'.

I grabbed the rose sleep mask, also kind of sketch ingredients, and I have it in my hair now. The rose scent is artificial (rosa damascea is very expensive so I'm not surprised) but it also smells chemical. It is NOT for natural/black hair. I had enough to put on my ends for a $4 mask, and my hair is SL and not even very thick. The cap it comes with is what you would get in the hospital prior to surgery.

Maybe I'll risk another wal mart venture in a month or so to see if they get more of the good stuff, but I don't see that happening.

I rinsed out the rose mask this morning. I was scared at first because when I took the cap off my hair was hard as a rock :O Thankfully it melted as I rinsed it out. It's hard for me to tell if it did anything for my hair so I can't really come up with a fair opinion. It did feel soft though but because of how little it is I wouldn't buy again.
