Well, I've just applied my first henna. I am still scared of the green color, but I tried it anyways. I am using Reshma Henna. I wont be leaving it on overnight---but how long should I leave it on? I put it in at 8:30 this evening, then wrapped it up in saran wrap. Since this is my first time, am I suppose to feel anything, tingling, itching, or otherwise? Oh, I put vaseline all around my hairline in so my edges wouldn't be colored. And, I saturated my hair in a moisterizing conditioner prior to applying it. Does that work? I tried to stay within the hairline, just in case it doesn't work. It wasn't as messy of a process as I heard it would be from searching the threads. Mine had a pretty thick consistency, kind of like relaxer.

Wish me luck, hope to have some fabulous hair pics after I wash it out. any tips?

so far I've learned
1. don't use too much shampoo to get it out.
2. don't worry if I don't get it all out because more will come out after DC
3. Use condish to get this stuff out
