This is the steamer I have and the inside where the water goes/stored seems rusty to me. Do anyone of you have this same steamer and if so did you experience the same thing? I never took notice of how the inside looked before.

If you did, is there a way to fix it/clean it and is it OK to still use?

I've been to a stylist who also cleaned hers out with vinegar and water. I'm not sure if hers was metal inside though. Hopefully others will chime in.

I am using distilled water. I think my downfall was that I was not draining it on a regular basis.:perplexed I hope I did not mess it up.:wallbash:

I did use it after I realized what happened. I made sure I drained it before using it and the water was brown coming out. So I ran some water through trying to clean it out some before using it and then it was clear. When I was done, I drained what was left out and saw a little bit of brown water this time. But it still looks rusty inside.

Okay. My steamer was acting crazy with me once, so I took a big wad of paper towel and twisted it up. I then dipped it in the reservoir and swivelled it around. It came out so gross and dirty, so maybe you should try that and see how it works. This was a result of me not draining the water out as well.
