I have used MTG for a total of four days over the last week or so. Unfortunately, this hasn't been about growth yet for me, but I did want to tell anyone who might be interested about what is happening in the last week that I have used it. I think I might be 4a with some 4b. I am very slightly texturized with an S curl texturizer. I did the last one myself and left it on a very short period of time. I think I'll try dominican blow outs, which will be very infrequent for special occasions. I am still pretty kinky, there is little "silkness" to my hair, but it is easier to comb.
Anywho, MTG has made my curl pattern more pronounced. You can actually see more defined spiral coils since using it.
My hair has experienced very very little breakage, not that that was a big problem before hand.
My hair does feel a little more "gummy". As in thick and coated. In wouldn't dare try to comb it with it like this for fear of breakage, not that I would comb dry anyway. To try and explain it, it certainly can feel a heavier product in my hair. I will have to wash more frequently ( now once a week, but I really want to try and do at least one CW in between there, time is a factor). The gummines could also be contributed to my recent kitchen experiment of a mixture of water, Salerm ( this stuff is the total bomb! Thanks so much ladies for sharing this one!!!) Glycerin and Castor Oil. I just added the Castor as an experiment so the "gumminess" may be contributed to that. It's not gross though, just weighs my hair down and would require a little clarifying to remove the coating.
I will keep you all posted as too my growth yet.
Thanks so much ladies for sharing your knowledge! I think the best thing I have found so far is the Salerm! I use the wheat germ mask and the leave in. I also have the bottle of Salerm that I mix with water for daily moisturizing. I use the tube on for leave in after washing. I still am not certain that these bottles aren't the same thing. The tube highlights the added B-5 I think. The bottle doesn't. Does anyone know if they are the same? I wish they made it in a bigger bottle is all I can say!
