I have used MTG for a total of four days over the last week or so. Unfortunately, this hasn't been about growth yet for me, but I did want to tell anyone who might be interested about what is happening in the last week that I have used it. I think I might be 4a with some 4b. I am very slightly texturized with an S curl texturizer. I did the last one myself and left it on a very short period of time. I think I'll try dominican blow outs, which will be very infrequent for special occasions. I am still pretty kinky, there is little "silkness" to my hair, but it is easier to comb.

Anywho, MTG has made my curl pattern more pronounced. You can actually see more defined spiral coils since using it.

My hair has experienced very very little breakage, not that that was a big problem before hand.

My hair does feel a little more "gummy". As in thick and coated. In wouldn't dare try to comb it with it like this for fear of breakage, not that I would comb dry anyway. To try and explain it, it certainly can feel a heavier product in my hair. I will have to wash more frequently ( now once a week, but I really want to try and do at least one CW in between there, time is a factor). The gummines could also be contributed to my recent kitchen experiment of a mixture of water, Salerm ( this stuff is the total bomb! Thanks so much ladies for sharing this one!!!) Glycerin and Castor Oil. I just added the Castor as an experiment so the "gumminess" may be contributed to that. It's not gross though, just weighs my hair down and would require a little clarifying to remove the coating.

I will keep you all posted as too my growth yet.

Thanks so much ladies for sharing your knowledge! I think the best thing I have found so far is the Salerm! I use the wheat germ mask and the leave in. I also have the bottle of Salerm that I mix with water for daily moisturizing. I use the tube on for leave in after washing. I still am not certain that these bottles aren't the same thing. The tube highlights the added B-5 I think. The bottle doesn't. Does anyone know if they are the same? I wish they made it in a bigger bottle is all I can say! :D

 MGT revelations

Ive been using MGTsince Oct and see the texture change :D More managable new growth. I maybe able to hold out my touch up until Mar.

Thanks for sharing! It is very helpful to hear updates about products. I am planning to start using MTG in about 2 weeks.

Maybe next time if you buy some, see if your local feed store has any. That way you wont be on tender hooks with the suspense!!! Girl, I am the most impatient person in the world and ordering online has me trippin waiting for stuff to come in the mail. I constantly check its status online, watch for UPS man, mailman, whoever!! I went on ahead a got my MTG from the store. The suspense would have killed me!

this is what I am going to do this weekend.

My new bottle of MTG just arrived today, and I ordered it on Tuesday or Wednesday. I was surprised it came this fast, I wasn't expecting to get it until next week some time. Anyway I can't wait to start using it again, I'm off it for the next couple of days before my relaxer touch up.

yes, I love mtg for that reason. it also stopeed my hair from shedding. Why not try using less of it? I use it daily without any gumminess. It's up to you. 4 days is too short to expect hair growth, even from mtg!

Natrl, gurrrllll don't you know I'ma expecting at least .000034 inches of growth by now! :lachen:

No seriously though, I'm not expecting miracle or anything. I mean I AM hoping for a bump in growth. I'll keep you guys posted though as to my progress.

yeah i really do like MTG also, the smell doesn't even bother, i guess b/c we used to use grease that smelled like that on our hair all the time. Anyway I have seen any tremendous growth yet, but I have been using it for 3wks now and I don't really measure my hair. I usually just compare pics to see the lenght. I am glad you have found a good use for it and wish you happy growing!:)

S_Terry, my first week wk of mtg, I started getting thicker and more tightly coiled hair. The growth I saw the 3rd week. keep doing what you're doing. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. ;) I forgot how much growth i got, but it's in my non- assessable journal. I hope they fix the journal glitch soon. :ohwell:

Thank you ladies for your support! Question, due to the heaviness of MTG do you clarify everytime you wash? I am using a gentle on from Aubrey Organics called Green Tea clarifying. My hair doesn't feel stripped after I use. I just want to make sure that My Salerm Wheat Germ can actually penetrate.
