Can I just say that I :gorgeous:love phyto relaxer?

I went to the high class, shishipoopoo(hehe) salon and was met by a girl who was my stylists' assistant. She asked me what I was getting and I told her "phyto retouch. I prefer Index 2. I like my hair very, very straight." You noticed how I put that very very in there. Make no mistakes now, I DON'T WANT ANY WAVE TO MY HAIR was what I wanted to say but anyway...

So the back of my hair was a little damp from when I wetted it that morning and put up in my fake bun so she took it down and shook it out (must admit my hair was not the freshest but they have probably seen or smelled worse) and put me under a cool dryer for about 15 min. I thought that this was good on her part (kudos). The stylist then arrived and sat down next to me and asked me what my concerns were with my hair (kudos). I told her that it seemed a little dry lately. She said that she would add some hydrating oils by phyto called huledovoles or something like that and that would help combat any dryness (kudos). The assistant came and got me out and based my scalp and began to apply the relaxer. She was VERY thorough I must say. She must have gotten every millimeter of my hair (kudos). She processed it for the entire rec. time. She then neutralized me (took forever) and applied a conditioner but DID NOT PUT ME UNDER THE DRYER (non-kudo) I should have said something but didn't. Next she asked me did I want roller at the top (she was going to comb my hair straight down and let me dry like that) I told her I wanted a roller set. So I sat under the dryer and all seemed pretty well until the dryer cut off and I was left waiting almost an hour for someone to come get me...in the meantime I eye-stalked this girl's hair. Her hair was sosooosososososo pretty. Anyway, my stylist came and got me and asked me if she could just run a warm flatiron over my curls to take some of the body out (man when I tell you that after she took the rollers out my hair had so much body. I had to go to the restroom and my hair was bouncin' to the ceiling! (kudo). She did that as she repeated "your hair is so gorgeous!" I couldn't help but think about all the ladies here and wanted to say "If you think MY hair is pretty..."

It was a pretty good experience. I didn't post a picture because my hair is basically in the same type of style as my siggy but I've got a little more hang time in the back. My biggest thing was getting the Phyto done professionally and not having to worry about overlapping and all that. Even today my hair is still so shaky it's unbelievable and straight but THICK. Anyway, OK, that's all folks.
P.S she not once asked if she could cut or trim my hair! BIG KUDO!

Glad to hear it went well. I take it you will be going back

Your hair looks great in your siggy too. I think you and my sister are hair twins.

Wow. It sounds like you had a wonderful salon experience. I wish everyone on this board could have such professional and competent stylists---perhaps there would be alot less DIY-ers! I have a stylist who kind of gets what I'm trying to do with my hair but she's not as health-conscious as I would like her to be. For instance, she never told me that the reason my hair was always feeling so dry after my perms was because Affirm no lye--like many other no-lyes--deposit calcium carbonate into the hair and dries it out. I can't wait until my next relaxer...I am going to try PHYTO relaxer!!! Thanks for this post.

This was a great story. I to would like to try phyto index 2, because I love straight hair. Thanxx for helping me with my decision.
