I ended up taking my cute pink FHI flat iron back because
1) I think I only bought it because it was pink
2) It got TOO hot and didn't have an adjustable temperature
3) I'm really not a flat-iron girl, I'd rather have a good curling iron that I can use like I would use a flat iron

Anyway, I got a Hot Tools Ceramic Tourmaline iron for $39.95 at Ulta. You can't beat that price. I like it better than my CHI ceramic curling iron that I've had for several years. Both are one inch barrels, but this one left my hair feeling velvety smooth. I mean it felt so good. I actually believe the package claim that it improves hair's hydration compared to other irons. I used it on air dried hair today, running it over small sections of hair. And I'll say it again, my hair just felt dang good. I'm not a regular heat user, but I definitely felt "safe" using this on my hair.

Here's my iron: (mine is the 1" barrel though, this one is 1 1/2")
