My MTG story

I bought my MTG about 2 weeks ago, and it just sat on the table, never used it.
I was kinda afraid to open it cos I thought it smelled so bad I wouldnt be able to get the scent out.
Well last night I put it on my hair, while watching tv..
My hair was dry too.
I even put some on hubby's hair.. it didnt smell too bad at all

Mind you.. I have a cold, i am really congested.
In the middle of the night my hubby turns and says, 'honey, we need to wash these pillows, cos it smells like sulphur'

I thought that was so funny.
But long story short, I dont have a problem with the smell at all. The one person's opinion that I care about (hubby) doesnt care YET.
So until then, I'll be using it straight.

I cant wash that often esp till this cold is gone. And until I get braids in cos of my everyday gym regimen.

So far baglady215 is the only other person I know who uses it straight with no problems. I guess to each his own.

If I could stand the smell, I would use it straight.

It just overpowers the smell of my shampoo and conditioners and the smell of my lotions and bodysprays way too much.

Honestly, I could deal with the actual smell of the MTG if I did not have to give up the enjoyment I get from smelling my other products.

I was wondering if everyone was mad cos I could stand the smell
I dont wear sweet stuff that often. So no biggy.
I may still mix, but right now I'm budgeting so Im glad that I can stand the smell..

My only fear is after my workout today, if I sweat, I wonder if it's gonna run down my face and bomb up the gym.

Hi,

I haven't had a problem with the smell of MTG....I just put it in and then use the EQ Mango Butter, throw my hair in a bun and I'm good...My son says it stinks but oh well.

I use it straight too. My SO never had a problem with it he didn't know I was using it until I told him.

I haven't had a problem with the smell of MTG....I just put it in and then use the EQ Mango Butter, throw my hair in a bun and I'm good...My son says it stinks but oh well.

What's this EQ stuff?

It's called Elasta QP Mango Butter Moisturizer. Elasta QP has a whole line of products but the mango butter smells fruity so once I put my hair in the bun you can no longer smell MTG unless my hair is out....you only smell the Mango Butter.

My hubby has never had a problem with the smell either and I always leave in a little bit of one good smelling vo5's(strawberries&cream ) then add on some butter,mango or shea. It really dosen't smell bad at all and I use it daily. I hope our smellers ain't broke or not as functional and I'm walking around thinking I'm cut yet stinking up high heaven!!

Went to Rite Aid tonight and bought the Nexxus Therappe and Humectress, also got some Kemi oil and the Doo Goo THick hair growth oil to mix with it.
Hubby called me today and said that it (MTG) was nasty

I guess he was either too tired to fuss or didnt want to hurt my feelings.

I use the MTG straight, as well. I really don't find the smell too offensive. Sometimes, I'll add a little peppermint oil. Over the last week and a half, I've been using the baggie method with the MTG very other night. I apply the MTG to my scalp, put on a plastic cap and then my satin scarf. I plan on doing this for 30 days to see what kind of growth I get.

I added a half bottle of Kemi Oil and about 1/4 bottle of Doo Groo Wild Growth oil to 1/3 bottle of MTG last night. Went to a few places for EOs and came up empty handed.

I washed my hair with the Nexxus Therappe and conditioned with Humectress, and my hair felt great, no shedding at all. I took too long to apply my MTG so I had to re-moisturize with my water/surge/CO mix, then added the MTG mix. My hair was fine all night.

So tonight I am going to work out again, so I'm going to add some grapeseed oil to my hair, use a shower cap and tie with a scarf during my work out, and then do the same procedure iwth the MTG when I get home.
