My husband referred one of his coworkers to LHCF!!!!!

Well after making this thread, will you refer her to the site, lol...

I wouldn't.

I'm gonna send her someplace else. I don't want her knowing anything about me...

Is that mean???

Nope, not at all.

I would give her www.motowngirl.com and keep it moving.

:yep:

Or better yet...

If I were in that situation, I wouldn't tell her anything. And I would tell my husband to stop telling people and trying to help all the women in the world. But that just me.

ITA completely. Wouldn't send her elsewhere, wouldn't tell her a thing. I think she will be all up in your business. I would e-mail her back that I just get tidbits here and there, and do online searches to solve various issues, as well as read hair books etc. Then I'd say good luck girl, my husband misunderstood. Then I'd tell dh to not tell my secret. And if she e-mailed me again, I would ignore her. Oooh I know that sounds kinda mean, but that's what I'd do.

Here is the story from DH...

He said they were sitting there and she started talking "like I was a woman or something" about how she went natural and used an S-Curl and how the S-Curl doesn't "take" anymore and it seems like her hair is starting to fall out. She doesn't know if it is the medication she is on or what...

So HE goes on to say...

"My wife goes on this hair site and they know everything there is to know about hair. If you want to know if you can mix hair-dye with ketchup they will have the answer":lachen:

Then he takes her to the computer and tells her "The name is www.longhair.com". They wait and something else pops up and he tells her "no that's not it" at that point she says "I'll just email her".

I feel kind of bad but it sounds like she needs to see a doctor/derm. I will tell her that I peruse the internet (which I do) for hair tips and email her a list of hair sites...nappturality might be a good one too if she is trying to go natural or whatever.

I could also give her some tips of my own if she is open to that.

:lachen: This was a really cute story! Thanks for sharing.

Is that mean???

Definitely not!!!

BHM is a good site. It copies a lot of the same challenges and has the same hair info as LHCF. And, since it's free, she might not be so skeptical.

Seeeeee, you're doing her a favor while looking out for you! :yep:

You have a good plan, I would do the same.

I don't think anyone is steering her in the wrong direction at all....all of the sites mentioned are credible and members of this site are on some of the other sites, especially as it relates to natural hair care. But it's just not THIS site...LOL

Yeah I guess I should say...holding info lol!
The poor child! Somebody help her though cause if a man is noticing then it has to be evident.

lolol-your DH is so adorable. Nothing like a man who pays attention. Now your hair is the standard-you have raised the bar...lol. Your hair is lovely!!!

My hubby did the same thing and I was like what the?????? But its cool cause I am like wow he really listens to me and he supports me. Heck it was him that told me to get a hobby, bet he didnt count on this!

O.P at least you know your DH pays attention to what you are saying and doing. I think it's so cute what he did
I'd send her the link, we know that everyone on this site does not use unconventional aides growth and such, even so, she could just take it or leave...meanwhile her hair may be jacked up while yours is banging!

Is that mean???

Um.. no. At least you're considering giving her a website. I have kept all hair sites from a couple of people I know because I know that most people from LHCF belong to or browse at least 3 other hair sites. Soon, they will browse, then join, then hear about LHCF, then browse here, then join then bump into me. I do share all the hair knowledge I have with them.

I don't expose much on this board, but enough that someone would be able to figure me out. I just like my privacy... WHY CAN'T I HAVE YA'LL TO MYSELF!!!! ? :cry2:
