Hi there,
what's happening to me is very terrible > my hair sheds like crazy !!!!
First of all, I have to explain.
For 1 month, I didn't take care at all of my hair. Very less washing, conditionning, moisturizing and protective style. I was bored.
But now, I feel very guilty !
And my hair feels very very bad :nono: I can't comb it without seeing big pieces of my hair falling in the sink. My hair isn't silky at all. Not shining at all. The end looks terrible.
Help us please :perplexed

(((Hugs)) to you.
1.How about starting with by clarifying your hair to rid of that build up.

2. moisturizing shampoo

3. deep moisturizing conditioner for at least 15 minutes with heat

4. leave in and seal

5. airdry and style in a low maintenance manner

Then a couple days later do a co-wash. I would continue to do this weekly. Also I would try to alternate protein and moisturizing conditioning weekly.

Definitely stay away from direct heat, just baby your hair. HTH

Start taking care of your hair. :)

Coat those breaking ends in a good reconstructor (w/ heat for twice as long as the directions say). You'll be back on track in no time.:yep:

ETA: Then coat your dry hair in a good moisturizing conditioner, put a plastic cap on and sit under the dryer for 20 minutes.

^^^ yeh, what she said. I have Dudleys hair rebuilder and I used it this past weekend , then again on yesterday mixed with miss key 10 en 1, (which is a stronger protein con) and some of the bad breakage and shedding i had before (which was due to too much heat) is slacking up. matter fact, i wrapped it after i washed and set under the hood dryer, and this morning i went to comb it down and it is a thick puffy ball  but thats never a bad thing! less manipulation and less/no heat is good, but dont forget to keep it moisturized to protect from the outside elements. and keep a nice clean scalp as often as you can

:wallbash: I feel your pain so try this and it should help since the main component of our hair is keratin :do a clarifying shampoo, get Aphogee Keratin 2 minute Reconstructor, use it weekly after you wash your hair and Aphogee keratin & green tea restructurizer daily to strengethen the hair. Then if you have boundless tresses use it or get some this should help with growth. NO HEAT!!! and give it TIME and you should start to see a difference.
Good Luck!!!!

This was the state of my hair. For many months I was very inattentive to my hair and its needs, and it rebelled. I was also dealing with illness - low thyroid and anemia - and was unaware of the damage such conditions can cause to one's hair. I am now on a good cleansing, conditioning and maintenance program, and, it has helped my hair immensely. Additionally, I have a good doctor who identified and treated my low thyroid condition and anemia. Last, using salon-quality products makes a significant difference. So, I assure you that it *does* get better. You've been given some sound advice thus far and therefore I will not repeat the obvious. Just be patient. Months of neglect and abuse will not remedy themselves immediately, but you will see small improvements daily provided that you are diligent and consistent with your haircare.

BTW: I realize that the word, "haircut," is anathema on this forum but, you may need a good trim to get rid of your damaged ends. I don't believe in hanging onto raggedy, damaged ends for the sake of length. A good trim does wonders for the condition and appearance of the hair. You may also wish to consider a good professional conditioning treatment. I did this over the course of a year and it reaped amazing results for my hair.

Sounds like a good way to start. You will definitely need to amp up your moisture levels. You will also need some good treatments. Make sure you moisturize as needed and seal it well. With some attention, your hair will eventually respond. :yep:

what everyone said sounds like good advice...

after you add some moisture, you may also need a protein treatment... but make sure you moisturize before and after, so you dont get any more damage...

Thank you ladies !!! For all your advices
Since I posted this message, I didn't take care of my hair again ! And I was too ashamed to came back on LHCF.
Now that I really need to help my hair, I'm back on the track.
I will follow your instructions.
And no heat. I think that is the main problem.
Thank you again
