Any recommendations for an oil that will soften my hair? I want to apply an oil as opposed to a leave in as my hair was flat ironed and I need it to stay straight.

It feels hard. I haven't had it straight for sometime but I don't recall it feeling like this. It still have movement but is not silky.

hmmm, thats strange, how long ago did have it flat ironed? Did u apply anything to make it that way? My hair is usually very silky for days after having it flat ironed at the salon. Jojoba oil would be a very light oil that may do the trick. just a few drops should help...

I agree...jojoba is very good at softening the hair when applied consistently. It has done wonders for my 4a hair.

NTM serum
The old school Blue Magic - works for me
Sulfur 8 - if it's not going to be hot or you aren't going anywhere.

I hear it's going to be humid in DC Metro tomorrow so you may want to wait on the Sulfur 8

I'm curious like Leslie C- what product(s) have you used to make it hard?

I would suggest using a serum... are you fond of those?

Well I didn't use anything. I leave in Salerm 21. It completely changes the texture of my hair (for the better). However, I wrapped it and it didn't feel the same. I must admist I highlighted it but it's not the lighter areas that feel hard.

Thanks ladies. I'm on the hunt for this oil.

Dolce, it wasnt me with the hard hair, I was trying to find out what happened too. But I do notice if I put too many products on my hair for a few days it feels hard.

I washed it yesterday and applied minimal products (All I used was some salerm and some straight effects hair polish and then a little mizani shine after it was dry) and it feels super soft today...if it werent in a bun Id be molesting my hair like someone else here was saying one time...lol. I still keep running my hand over the top, it feels niiice....

Leslie... LOL... when I said "I'm curious like Leslie C" I was actually trying to say, "Just like Leslie C, I also would like to know what you have been using on your hair."

I'm sorry for the confusion.
