For me, the entire left side was underprocessed with my virgin relaxer in June 2003. When dry, the right side is straight and the entire left side is extremely poofy. I keep my hair well moisturized with S Curl. I wear it in a bun and have experienced no breakage whatsoever. When I went to Marvin C. for a touch up in Oct., he said next time he will pull the relaxer through to the ends. I'm not sure I want that done but I have three more months to think about it.
you can expect four weeks from now to look like a bushwacker. anytime i get underprocessed i can expect it to seem as though i hadn't relaxed in six months...*blank stare*

It is kind of frustrating when this happens. I remember when the relaxer did not take on two occasions in a row (13 weeks of new growth.) I have 4a/4b hair. I had to deep condition at every wash (I mean I pulled out the stuff that gave me the best slip possible). Focus your conditioner on the new growth, be extremely gentle and dont manipulate too much. If it is really underprocessed and starts to shed, girl don't wrestle with it. I would just let Marvin C pull it through again in about 4 to 6 weeks or whenever he recommends.
