I have been "gowing with the flow" lately and I have notice that I get sudden growth spurts by behaving this way w/ my hair. And when I look back, my hair was super long in high school, and I paid NO attention to my hair then. Am I the only one who bids well off WITHOUT a regime?

You're not the only one. :D I have a thread asking whether anyone else doesn't have a regime. We're not alone. I've tried so many regimes but it changes every week. I cant be consistent for nothing. But I do feel like not having a regime makes me worry less about my hair. I'm just going with the flow, wash my hair whenever, and use different products whenever. I think as long as we condition, moisturize, and just take good care of it, our hair should be fine! ;)

Exactly!!!!! I have notice more growth from January and February alone than I have when I was trying to put my hair on a 'schedule':nono:. The whole regime thing is NOT for me. Like you said, moisturizing and taking care of it will make it just as good.:yep:

I noticed that when I just rolled my hair and sprayed it with that Dew moisturizer crap that my hair grew faster. Last august I was looking like fantasia and now I have way more length. I dont have one because I have yet to find a line of products that works exactly for me so I do whatever. My hair tells me when it needs attention.

That sounds like the KISS method (keep it simple stupid). It bids well for me, you and poohbear so far.

@lk ---> what's in this Dew moisturizer crap?

Ingredients List:

Purified Water, Propylene Glycol, Cyclomethicone, Dimethicone, Polysorbate-20, Coconut Oil, Lanolin, Methylparaben, Fragrance, Propylparaben, FD&C Yellow No. 6. FD&C Yellow No.5.

I like having a regime since I never had one before LHCF. However, I understand about "going with the flow". I believe this is the key, going with the flow, not worrying and paying no attention. This is how black guys grow their hair so long, quickly too. I feel it's possible to have both a regime and not worry about our hair.

Is this the Cathy Howse Dew? I have tried for a while NOT to buy this, but I think that I might have to break down and try it. Her moisturizer is the ish! I've tried to make the Dew at home, but my hair winds up feeling dry.

I have tried the Dew and i like it. Its a spray and I used it for dry roller sets prior to flat ironing (when I used to) or spray on my hair after I pin curl...its nice. I plan to get it again probably for the summer. Its really really light.

I find that I don't really need a regimen, just common sense in dealing with my hair. I wear it down when it comes out right and it's not humid, and I wear it up all of the other times. When I finally get tired of dealing with it, I put it in braids. Sometimes you have to keep it simple. Hair that is damaged or breaking may require special regimens, but my routine is simple--keep my hair clean, moisturized, and don't over do the chemicals. I even went back to using plain old Queen Helene cholesterol, and I love it. I feel better knowing that I'm not the only one who doesn't have a complicated regimen.
