Is it just me?? Last week, I used Mizani H20 and a KeraCare moisturizer and my hair was breaking like crazy. I'd get like a handful of broken hair after each comb. So then I washed it and it's back to normal. The only thing differently I did was try those moisturizers. I'm sticking with my oils... But does anyone else have this problem??

I discovered the same thing with Mizani H2O. I kept getting little broken hairs on my pillows and in my hands when I touched my hair.

Too me those two moisturizers are not moisturizing at all. They are both full of mineral oil and/or petroleum. Neither of those did a thing for my hair. Try a moisturizer with more natural ingredients.

I don't see how people come to the conclusion that their hair doensn't like all cream moisturizers off of experiences with very few of them. There are sooo many out there. Maybe you hair doesn't like those particular ones? Maybe you have product buildup and the products couldn't work effectively? Could be a number of reasons why you hair reacted that way, but personally I wouldn't chalk it to the fact that it is a cream moisturizer.

I probably would just assume that my hair didn't like the particular one or an ingredient in it. I don't know, maybe it's just me.

I would say if you feel like sticking to oils go for it.

My hair only likes oils if it is when its wet, other than that all an oil does is sit on it but doesn’t really penetrate and soften my hair. Cream moisturizers on the other hand do soften my hair up I use it all the time with no harsh results. The thing about cream is it doesn’t really make my hair shiny but its soft and moist.

I agree. I actually used to think my hair did not like cream moisturizers either, but I have found 2 that my hair loves. No reversion or curl loss, no greasiness, and I can dab some on my ends and roll it for adry set.

I find that my moisturizers needs to contain certain key ingredients, but not glycerin, mineral oil or petroleum.

Mineral oil or petroleum are not bad for my hair really, but they tend to make my hair feel too greasy and sometimes gives me a false sense of moisture security.

I have tried several cream based moisturizers and my hair did not like any of them but my hair loves jojoba and Kemi oyl. I'd like to find a cream moisturizer but I got tired of spending money for something that did not work so I'm sticking with the oils.
