I have been using amy 'bootleg version of BT, and I am getting RESULTS.
My ends are very thick and twice as strong as before. I cannot brush through my hair anymore. I have to part it in small sections to comb through at all. This is another reason I know that my strands are getting thicker and the amount of hair on my head is getting denser. I am getting some more length... I can tell by the roots ( I think that the misture is responsible for giving me at least 2 more full inches this year ( the rest I would attribute to care and conditioning, and the texture of my hair is more 'rippley' and I am going to step up my applications cause I was doing it only about 3 times a week. I am up to once and sometimes twice a day depending on what is happening (steaming) (deep conditioning and rinse etc.). I make a solid balm so it does not get too oily. Tis is good news for me because my strands are fine and it proves that that is subject to change if your hair is getting what it needs, in my opinion. I am hoping to gain another 3 inches by the end of the year. I was a slow grower in the past..I hope to change all that. bonjour.

So what updates do you have?

CONGRATS on your progress, it sounds great and your reggie sounds real simple....what's your mix formula and do you have any PICS :lick: ?!!

I use BT and I love it! I don't have any new updates. I just wanted to congratulate you on your fast progress.

Either my hair did not grow very much in 2007 or I did not retain length, but this year, I have seen noticeable and notable growth and retention.

I started using food grade aloe vera every day in January. One of my growth concoctions is liquid cayenne extract, liquid kelp, wheat germ, passion fruit, mustard, avocado, coconut, tea tree, jojoba oils, but fully half of the bottle is food grade aloe vera gel. I also added two teaspoons of sulfur when in the past, I only added a little sulfur. My second (runnier) concoction is aloe vera gel, liquid chlorophyll, a bit of passion fruit oil, mustard oil and tea tree oil and jojoba oil and powdered yucca. I get lots of tingle, warmth and stimulation. When I use aloe vera gel alone, I get the most intense scalp rush.

I am not one to ever say that I get a signficant amount of growth in a short period of time, but this year, I have gotten significant growth. My hair has thickened up considerably. My hair hangs down instead of out. My hair does not tangle anymore and that is such a blessing. My strands are thicker, but the curl/wave pattern is much looser even though I do not use the yogurt, buttermilk, shikakai or aritha consistently anymore at all -- hardly ever. My hair really only grows maybe a fourth of an inch a month and that is being generous, but I know I am getting a half inch to one inch a month now, which is double, triple its NORMAL growth rate.

Some days I swear it is the aloe vera. Some days I swear it is the added sulfur to my scalp concoctions. Some days I swear it is the almost daily infusion of keratin detailed in another thread, which I am sure is helping with retention. Some days, I swear it is the frequent steaming using the heat cap. Likely, it is a combination of everything, but the aloe vera and the generous helping of sulfur are a huge, huge part of it because I did this first, in January, and noticed growth within four weeks, but just did not want to believe it. I think whatever oils I would have used as long as I used the same generous amounts of aloe vera gel and sulfur would have garnered the same results.

Off topic question? Why do you always end your chat with bonjour, should it be au revoir instead.

I had to ask my hubby who speaks French and my sister-in-law who is French. They said the French would never put bonjour at the end of a conversation.

Thank you for sharing!! I'm gonna definitely try this! Where do you get your aloe vera gel?

Then again, there are many francophone countries in the world.
I've heard Canadians say it....

I get my aloe vera gel from www.puritansale.com or www.swansonhealth.com. The Swanson's is thicker and I like it better, but I am always ordering from PP because they always have the reduced shipping. Like now it is 26 cents until tomorrow. Aloe also contains sulfur, so that might be why my scalp concoction is super-hyped up now and I am experiencing this wonderful growth. I took a picture three weeks ago. I wish I had taken one in January, but I just could not believe my hair was growing because it grows at a snail's pace. I will take another one in five weeks for documentary evidence (smile). Make sure your concoction contains an anti-fungal like coconut or tea tree oil. I only use a little tea tree because it is very potent stuff.

FYI: Aloe contains amino acids such as: lysine, histidine, arginine, aspartic acid, asparagine, threonine, serine, glutamine, hydroproline, proline, glycine, alanine, cystine, valine, methionine, isoleucine, leucine, tyrosine, glutamic acid, and phenylalanine and such minerals as calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, zinc, manganese, copper, chromium, sulfur in addition to fatty acids.

ETA: Aloe also contains mucopolysaccharides. Some familiar names that contain mucopolysaccharides are Surge and Megatek.

Bonjour for Hi.
Bonne journee for good bye.
But, If she wants to say Bonjour at the end, why not?
Congrats OP for your progress!

Aloe vera is VERY good for my hair.

Off topic question? Why do you always end your chat with bonjour, should it be au revoir instead.

Au Revoir is like "later" or "till next time" or "till we meet again" (Vernaculars)
I use Bonjour as my signature sign on and off to my posts. I know it is "hello" or "greetings". It is also like a fun thing for me. Like "He....a.y!" Lord knows I am not trying to be "formal here". I was wondering when someone would finally notice, eh? Bonjour

No. Because that would not be correct Formal French. However, English people greet you with hello!, right? But now in the vernacular, (slang or everyday talk) we have people making STATEMENTS AND ENDING WITH, "HELLO!!!".. (with a snap) As in..."do you get that?" Have you heard and seen people do this? That is not proper English. But who is checking? (smile) Oh I am Canadian born by the way. Many Canadians interject Fr. into their vernacular English, and it is a fun thing. Anyway, They speak 2 "types" or "dialects of French here. Formal 'Parisian' and Down East,"Quebecois" (the i needs a grave accent). For example: Parisians say '" les pommes de terre (potatoes) and the Quebecois say "les potats frits" (as in French fries)and are often talking about the same thing. But as you know Canada has 2 Official languages. English and French. Hope this answers your question. Bonjour
