My Giovanni Cosmetics Purchases

i just went crazy over at http://www.lifesvigor.com/
Even with the crazy postage fee to the UK, i still only spent about £50, and i have everything i could ever need! no more visits the BSS! i dont think thats a bad price, considering that i'll only using this stuff once a month when i take down my weave. it should all last a really long time.

I'll be writing some reviews in this thread once i've tried all this stuff out!

I was slightly annoyed to find out that the Straight Fast contains 2 parabens. thankfully i wont be using this anywhere near my roots anyway. too bad i can't try out this stuff until i take my weave out.

Say what?! I wonder if they've changed the formula, because mine doesn't have any. Under the contact info on the back of the tube, mine says copyright 2003. What does yours say?

I don't use that product, but I have looked at in the store out of curiousity. I didn't see parabens in it, but I did see like 2 or 3 different cones, one of which builds up like crazy on my hair. Which parabens are in that product? I didn't know Giovanni used them in any of their products. But that just goes to show you that you have to check and check again.

Have you tried any of the other stuff?

i can't really try anything (on my own hair) until i take out my sew-in. not for another 2 weeks or so.

Straight Fast has methyl and propyl parabens. from what i have seen online [font=verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif][font=verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif][font=verdana, arial, helvetica][size=-1]Shine of the Times, Silicone Finishing Mist[/font][/font][/size][/font] also has parabens. this confuses me, as the product is made mostly of silicones. not likely to decay! i dont see why only a few products in the whole line contain parabens. i'll email the company.
