My first time installing box braids w/ extensions **pics**

Over the weekend I decided I wanted to braid my hair. It took me about 9 hours to do all of the plaits. Overall i'm happy with the results, but I doubt that I'll do this hairstyle again.

I started in the front and then did the back, which is why it's parted that way. I wasn't really concerned with the size of every part being equal.

they are pretty!!!! you did a GREAT job!!! I've often told myself I could do it but I'm too scared I will get in the middle of doing them and give up...hahaha I also know I have a big head!!! :lachen:

I think you did a great job! Esp. like the pic of it up in the front. Enjoy your hard work. This is the first set of pics that made me want to try box braids.

:lachen::lachen: You can do it. The only thing that made me want to give up was the length of them.
 
U did a GREAT job...I always give up like half way thru and end up wearing hats for like 2 weeks (smh)...I wish I had your patience

It looks really easy, but it was confusing to me when I tried it. In the video she separated the hair into three parts and then braided it, but what I did was leave the hair in two parts and braided it in with my hair. After I did the plait about 3-5 times I separated one part of the weave into 2 sections and added one with my hair then continued the plait.
 
for a firt time id say WOW! bravo! now that you know how to do it, your gonna be fine for doing your own hair. save yourself from paying the hair stylist in a salon.
 
You did a great job especially considering it was your first time doing it. I wish I could braid my own hair because I love braids but I hate paying to have them done and having to keep reminding the braider not to do it too tight, etc., etc.
 
I love it! Think you did a really good job, especially for your first time. You have pretty eyes too! :)
