It came out very cute!!! Yea, doing it yourself takes all day but its cheaper and no one will treat your hair like you do!!!

The texture of the weave hair matches yours well.

I just finished doing my own sew-in, too. I'm natural, and I didn't leave any hair out. I need DH to upload the pics.

For the crown, I used a Freetress Equal snap on top-piece. It has bangs, too. I found that this gave my weave a more professional appearance than when I sewed the bangs on... the tracks were like HELLO world, here I am, lol. When I wash it, I take the top piece off. It really helps me to get access to my scalp for thorough cleaning and moisturizing.

I've tried putting the pic of the top-piece as an attachment but I'm too mentally crippled to get it to work.

You did a great job! I have also started doing my own sew ins. It does consume time, but I save alot of money, and have the control over it. Great job. What hair did you use?

I can't wait to see the picture! I think the next time I won't leave any hair out.

Thank you. I used Urban Beauty Wet and wavy 10 inch. It was on sale for a nice price so I took the plunge and thought I had nothing to lose. I'm glad I gave it a shot.

what kind of hair is that? I love those curls....great job....you will get quicker with practice too...I do my own sew ins as well and it now takes me 3-4 hours...they look 10000% better than weaves that I have paid to have done :yep:[/quote]
ITA...I did my own last week, and I love it more now, than when I was paying hundreds of dollars for them, and they look better, too. Even DH, who HATES weave, told me how natural it looked when I was finished with it.

You should be proud! I have said the same thing when I was looking for hair, to do it myself!:lachen:

I have always done my own weaves in the past so I know it was work. I must say you did a good job. Not alot of people leave their own hair out and blend. looks good ma!:yep:

Looks very good. Excellent job. I like your preworkout look too!

OT: Nazarite27, you have two VERY handsome sons. Good work. :)

Now you know you have to give up the goods on HOW you did this yourself! It looks really GREAT! I'm planning on my first attempt, as soon as my classes are over. In the meantime, I'm waiting for your tutorial!

Thank you all! Well I took some pictures as I went along except when I started sewing the hair in, but I do plan on making a tutorial with a combination of my head and my mannnequin head.
