I'm so happy I found this forum because I was flat-ironing and using curling iron and wrapping like a fiend everyday. Well, now I've discovered some new techniques that I can tell are already making a difference. I tried pincurling for the first time last night and really liked the results this morning, I think I will be doing this instead of wrapping from now! What do you ladies think?

Very nice. I have to keep practicing with pincurls to see if mine can come out like yours. :)

Thanks ladies!! At first I thought maybe it was TOO full, but I think I like it that way, I like big hair :-) I made the mistake of combing it a little and it got even fuller, the curls separated and some starting fliping up and some down...it was kinda scary, I was like how the heck did that happen?! Maybe I'll take a picture of that too, it looks... interesting

wheezy807: The only thing I used was Olive Oil cream in the little tub. My hair was dry and I put that on the ends before twisting and pinning it.

determined-to-grow: i hope it came out nice!! :-)

also, after looking at some albums on here, and at some pincurl tutorials, i realized that what I've been doing are not really pincurls at all! they are similar, but i've been wrapping the ends of my hair under with a tail comb and then twisting the entire thing around and then pinning it, so the ends come out extremely curled. it's hard to explain, maybe i'll try to do a tutorial eventually. they are more like Tailcomb Pincurls.
