I must say that after reading a few stories on here both good and bad I decided to take the plunge and get it done. I must say that I am very pleased with the turn out. Now please keep in mind that these pictures were taken after my hair blowing away through the hot heat for most of the day. I was shocked though because my hair actually held up well aside from the edges which poofed up a bit.

Looks lovely. Despite what a lot of people think, I love DBs. I found a girl who has healthy hair and promotes healthy hair practices too, so it's a win/win for me to go to her whenever I want straight hair for a few weeks.

Thanks Ladies for all of the comments to answer a few questions I used all of their products and honestly I did really pay attention to what they used. I only noticed one product that was used and it was like a goats milk and honey I think. When I came in there were literally like 15 ladies in the shop with 2 ladies infront of me to be washed.

When it was my turn the lady shampooed me and then she asked me who does my hair and I said me. She then said you need a deep conditioner. Which at that point I was trying to process that thought since I do co-washes almost daily when I wear my hair curly. Nonetheless I got it. Then she sat me under the overhead dryer for about 15 to 20 minutes.

Then she rinsed out the conditioner and the sylist told me to sit in her chair. She started blowing my hair dry and curling it at the same time (Im thinking to myself that it better get flat ironed because I am not leaving out like this even though it didnt look too bad). Then she told me that I needed a trim (I fully agreed since I havent had my hair cut since last October). She did an excellent job on the trim and did not take too much off. Then she sprayed some product on it and started flat ironing the hair. Once she was dont she added a glosser and my hair was poppin. It was so bouncy and shiny. Then I went over the pay and it was quickly deflated. The lady charged me $55.00. She told me that the blowout was $45 and the trim and the deep conditioner where both $5. On the sign blowouts where posted for either $35 or $ 40. I think they charged me more because I had natural hair. The stylist saw my face I think and she then went on to explain the pricing and said next time you come it wont be as much.

All in all it was a pretty good experience and the service was pretty fast. I have been to some black salons and have had alot worse so to rate the service received I would have to say and A-. It would be a A+ if they explained to you what was being used on the hair and they clearly explained the pricing before styling you. I have to also say that my mom who has been a licensed hair dresser since 1964 loved the hair and the trim job. She was pleased as well which says alot since she likes to critique everytime I go to another stylist.

Your hair came out great. To be honest with you the price you paid was not bad. Looking at your hair it was well worth it. Nice progress!!
