Girllll why you do this to me!!!! I see a style and then I MUST HAVE IT!!! Now I gotta talk my hubby into doing some crochets and yes he has done them for me before lol!

Great job! It looks really good! Man, I haven't had crochet braids since middle school--in over 10 years...I used to do them ALL the time. I'm glad to see them come back because I love that style...it is so easy. I'll probably do my hair next weekend...I'm excited

Nice work! I did my first install in March and I loved it. I used Freetress Presto Curl. I'll probably use it as a protective style again in the fall and winter. I love how neat the middle section looked and how close you were able to get to your edges. I would be afraid to leave any braids empty but I understand your strategy. Thanks for sharing.

So I was looking for hairstyles that I could do to help me stretch til relax day and I stumbled across a crochet video on youtube. I knew how to cornrow, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I did this style a few months ago, and now that I'm not a lurker anymore, I figured I could show you ladies! This was the final product. I plan on doing them again soon and using some auburn or light brown pieces to spice it up! I was so proud! This is also my first time posting pics in a thread, so I hope this works!

Very pretty!

Do you have the link to the youtube crochet video??

Impressive!! It looks great. I wanna try soo bad. How long did it take you to install?

Well I'm a slow braider, so that part took almost 3 hours. The crochet install itself took about 5 hours. I just did a new install a few days ago with a different brand of hair. I like the freetress brand better, but this will do. Lol. I was a little faster this time, it only took 4 hours for the crochet install. I'm still a slow braider though. Lol.

Are you able to pull it up or back since you left hair out on the sides? Did you use extension hair on the cornrows?

I can't pull it back...I've never tried, but I don't think it would look good at all. Lol. And yes, I used extensions on the hair. I didn't use a lot, and it wasn't the length of my hair, I just used it to give my braids more structure and bulk.

So after you asked if I could pull it back, I got curious and went home and tried with my newest install. It turned out pretty good. I put it in a loose ponytail and I like it a lot. Here's a pic. It's a little fuzzy because I took it with my phone. (Camera battery is dead and I'm lazy. Lol)
