My first conditioning wash!!

I came home from work determined to try this out. I wet my hair thoroughly, massaging my scalp the whole time. I applied Nexxus Hemectress (Because it works so wonderfully in my hair.) and put a plastic cap on it for about 20 minutes and let the warm shower water run over top. Then I rinsed, dried and applied Mizani Thermal Style Serum with coconut oil and let it air dry. I have to tell you, I think this might be the one thing my hair has needed all these years because it feels soft and moisturized. I feel like this guy

I have been trying the conditioner wash for 2 weeks now and my hair is loving it. I conditioner wash my hair twice a week because I exercise and sweat in my hair a lot. My hair feels so moisturized and I see less breakage in my hair.

maybe it had to do with the conditioner I used (Pantene Relaxed & Natural), it made my hair really hard, not silky & slippery like it usually turns out. Thanks!

You have to use the conditioner as though it's shampoo. I get in the shower and let the showerhead saturate & massage my scalp to loosen up the dirt. I then pour on the conditioner (Suave Tropical Coconut) and dig really deep into my scalp (with the balls of my fingers - do NOT use your fingernails) and massage some more. Add a little water if the conditioner feels like it's just sitting on your hair. After 5 minutes I rinse, then apply my deep conditioner mixed with EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil) and sit under a heating cap for 10 minutes. Viola! You'll then have super soft, super moisturized hair.

I agree with Crysdon. Plus you have to find a conditioner that you like. For me water was a factor too. Since I figured out hard water was making conditioner washes unsuccessful, I've had better results. Also you may need to fiqure out how often to do them. Experiment until you find the right 'mix'. Once you do your hair wil love you for it.

Thanks Crysdon & Sweetcocoa

for the tips. I was basically wetting my hair, putting conditioner on, leaving it for two mins. or so, and rinsing it out . I will def. try the deep conditioner mixed with EVOO and sitting under the dryer afterwards -- sounds like a winner

I also tried this over the weekend. I have been doing them everyday since Friday which is my usual wash and braid day. But this time I let my hair air dry out loose and have done a conditioner wash everyday. My hair looks and feels so much better already. It has only been 5 days!

I cant believe it.

I can actually see some curls popping out when my hair is wet. But once it dries it looks like a crazy mess all over again but my hair definitly feels more moisturised because of the conditioner washes.

I used Pantene Relaxed and natural conditioner for this and then applied Moisturemax Oil moisturizer after.
