Well, I went to the salon at around 11:30 and left two hours later. My stylist was Nina who washed and deep conditioned my hair. My experience overall was good except for that steaming hot blow dryer!!!! I promise you, that thing almost brought tears to my eyes. However, to see my coarse 2 month post relaxer hair later made it worth all the torment. Also, most of the women spoke spanish and could only understand basic english phrases. With that said, I will incorporate blowouts into my routine every two weeks. I think my hair is growing well enough to make my first goal of shoulder length in December which will be my one year anniversary of perpetual haircare.

Check out my pics and compare from January till now and tell me what you think. Thanks!

Hey I just treated my cousin to her first dominican salon experience as well. I always wondered how with all that HEAVY blow drying, does the hair respond so well. I swear it looks like your burning the hell out of it.

I DID cry the first time I got a blowout. I just wasn't ready for all that heat. Know I have a good understanding with my stylist and she knows I'm tender-headed.
