Hello ladies, I finally did my sew-in....I'm not sure if I like it definitely is gonna take some getting used to. Bmoreflyy....Thanks for all your help with out you there would be no me (well... no sew-in:lachen: :lachen: ). BTW..this is hair is called Oprah but I think I look more like Gayle's long lost step child!!! (Ok that was corny....wow.....!!)

It looks really good!! You did a great job, you should be so proud of yourself. I wish I was brave enough to try to do my own weave, it would probably look like a hot mess....LOL Keep up the good work.

Oh, how cute are you!!!

I've never had a weave and lately I'm ooooh so curious!

Hey ladies..Thank You for all the wonderful compliments. I did it yesterday and last night I went to wal-mart and people were looking at me crazy. I honestly didn't know whether to hate it or love it....But leave it up to you guys to make a girl feel secure.

I just wanted the ladies who said they couldn't do it know that this was my first time doing a sew-in or anything like this...It really isn't that hard. If you can braid (doesn't have to be neat) and you can make a loop with a needle in thread....you definitely can do this!!

(Bmore, do you hear me trying to talk like I am a proffesional!!!)

BTW..it is human and it was only 12.99 a pack (I used 2 packs)...I'm glad I chose the cheap stuff to practice with!!

I think it looks great, you would never believe its your first time, how long you plan to leave it in and how are your caring for your hair underneath?

Heyyy!!! Guesswho!!! Thanks!!! Well I think I'm gonna leave it in for about 3 1/2 weeks. My dad is getting married in Jamaica on June 30th:D :D :D SO...I know I'm gonna have to do something...which BTW I am really stressing over!!!(suggestions please) But ummm yeah...about the taking care of my hair underneath...I have no idea!! BHM has some information on caring for your hair while in a sew-in so I plan on looking at that tomorrow. (suggestions are welcome here also!!)

Wow. That is really cute!! You did a great job. I wish I could do something like this for the summer. :scratchch :)

wow that sew in looks so fly!!! I can't believe you did it yourself...Im inspiried to do my own sew in one day...one day far far away:lol:

lol you're welcome! It turned out good! You'll be a pro in no time. Just keep practicing. :) My mom and my friends say I should be a professional weavologist. They said I could make a lotta money. Now if only they saw how pathetic my cornrows look. :lachen: Somebody else might be mad if they paid me and I put that mess in their head. :lachen:

VERY PRETTY! I love curly sew ins and the length is so cute and looks so natural!!
I used the B&B growth stimulator on my rows under my last sew in. I loved it. It's in a small bottle with a pointed applicator tip. You can get it at sallys, walmart or any good BSS!

OP, that looks great!!!! If I did it myself I would look like this:

and after some more practice like this:

so I leave it to the professionals :)
