My BP was 97/61 this morning at my Dr appt, a lot lower than it normally is. I normally run around 120/70 something. The only think I can think of that I changed is starting MR. My Dr wants me to track my BP 2 x per day for the next 10 days and get back with her. One of my sisters just passed away in her sleep in September from slow heart rate, she just stopped breathing in her sleep . I certainly don't want that to happen with me.

Now, on the other hand, my sugar numbers dropped big time. I just had a randomly done blood test done about 2 weeks ago to see if I was pre-diabetic. My number came back excellent, while last month it was on the almost diabetic level. Just wanted to let you ladies know and maybe check your BP.

Dr said she could increase my BP meds if my BP stayed low, and I can continue taking the MR to help me with my sugar levels.

How does it taste? I have some in my pantry now, but I haven't tried it yet. The effect on blood pressure would be great for me. I take a diuretic to control mine. Do you refrigerate it after you open it?

ETA: So sorry to hear that about your sister, what a shock that must have been.

Silica is a natural diuretic.

I take Rx medication to control my BP. I've been monitoring my BP for this reason but this is a good point to bring up. :yep:

Mine has dropped also but not low enough to make changes to my meds....yet

wow sorry about your sister

sorry to hear about your sister!!!

and thanks for the review, I already have low BP so I need to stay away from this

Coffee - I'm so sorry to hear about your sister!

That's a good warning about Mineral Rich for me because my BP runs low most of the time anyway.

Coffee,

I didn't know your sister died. I am so sorry for your loss. May GOD be with you and your family at this time.

I was wondering how taking this would affect my BP or if it would cause any reaction w/my BP pills. Thanks for posting your update.

I see it has lowered your sugar levels too. Did you change any of your eating habits?

Thank you ladies for your condolences .
gorgeoushair, when I first started taking MR, it lessen my taste for sweets for about a week. Then I slowly started back eating sweets, so I can't really say my blood sugar was lowered because of that week. I really feel it was due to the MR; that's the only other thing that's changed for me.

So sorry to hear about your sister, Coffee.

I used to give this to my mother. MR would do something strange to her tea, like cause the milk to coagulate, but it was fine in a bit of juice. I do think it helped her a bit with her energy and stamina.

My God Coffee!!! God, I'm so very sorry for your loss. Yes, please do take care of yourself. Stop the MR if it's found to be the cause. I, too, have low blood pressure. It's something to watch for.:kiss::kiss:

So sorry for your loss OP.

Don't be too alarmed, yet though. Heart rate (how fast your heart is beating) and BP (how hard it works in order to beat) are two very seperate things.

For ex., my BP is usually 90ish/70ish. But right ow my HR is very high (in the 90's).
Hope that helps.

Oh, so sorry about your sister. DO keep an eye on your BP! I suppose having a low pressure is just as serious as having a high pressure. Is low pressure hereditary, the way that high pressure can be? Glad you're watching your health. Blessings to your family.

Having a low BP can be just as bad as having a high BP! So sorry for your loss OP. Please do take care of yourself.
