OMG – I just took out my braids of 3 months, sprayed with my aloe / glycerin mix and OMG!!!
This comb went through 8/9months of new growth like butter. No snag or anything.:dance7:
Ladies, if you are not on this comb – I don’t care if you are relaxed or natural, GET THIS COMB!!! :love4:
Thank you Southern Tease for posting this on your blog.

Thanks babe:) I will def. give this a try....the denman is okay, but im still searching for my detangling staple!

I have two Jilbere combs. Well, I guess that's not really true. I actually have 1 jilbere comb and a conair knock-off versio (that looks EXACTLY like it). I got the conair one first thinking that it was cheaper, then I went to Sally's and discovered they were exactly the same price, so I got the Jilbere as well.

I just read about this comb in a thread recently and also realized I too have the conair version, I will also probably get the Jilbere version. Won't hurt to have another good large tooth comb :yep:.

I own two of these combs and When I detangle using them under running in the shower it takes less than 5 minutes. One of the best investments I ever made for my hair!!!!!!!!!:grin::lick::lick:

TemiLnd good thread. About your aloe and glycerin, what kinds and /or brands? 100 percent aloe? I too wear braids only a few weeks at a time but could use help with comb-outs. Thanks in advance ;) Anna

I rarely use any other comb...even for daily styling. I love it! (Though I do have the knockoff Conair version)

I have a bone comb and its pretty good.. but....i have been wanting to try the jilbere tho...gotta link for purchase?

that is the little curved pastel one that everyone has in their fotkis right?

Yeah that's what I'm wondering...is this the big shower one? I have that one and I love it! I'm not afraid to detangle anymore!

I flat iron once a week and thought this Jilbere comb would be good:http://www.sallybeauty.com/Vented-Straightening-Comb/SBS-345868,default,pd.html

I imagine it would give you the same results as the Maxiglide (in conjunction with the flat iron of your choice) but with more control. Would make the comb-chase method much easier. I'm going to buy it today and test it out. Does anyone else have this comb?

Hey Anna,
i just modified what i read on here for my hair. My hair gets very dry - I never leave my hair out in winter or in cold weather (so coming from London that may as well be never - :lachen:).

Ok in my spray bottle I have a mix of:
Humco Glycerin - but any will do, don't think it matters
Banana Boat Aloe Vera gel
V05 - cheapie conditioner
Water

i have been spraying my braids with this after my washes too. hair is so moisturised. Mess with it till you get what is right. You don't need to much aloe - can clog your spray. HTH

I may have to give this comb a try. I have one of those gold BSS wide tooth combs, and a Denman... that I haven't used much. About how much is it at Sallys?

is there any difference between this an the conair one? is this really special or they work they same with different names?? i'm also a londoner so cant get the gilbere one :perplexed

Oohh I keep that in my closet! Mine is the conair one but it works just the same. I couldn't wash my hair without that thing!

oh yeah this comb is the truth. i honestly don't know how or why. i've used other wide toothed combs before and nothing works as well as this so far.

I want to know the answer to this too....for people that have both conair and jilbere...what is the difference?
