I only used MTG for 2 days before I decided that it was not for me, but the smell itself I did not find unbearable.

It is more so how it lingers and seems to cover up your fragrance and shampoos and stuff. If it faded more, it would not be so bad. It became more of an odor that would not let up.

That coupled with the greasiness was just too much for me.

But, I know that it would be perfect for some because the smell they can deal with and the style they wear allows for the grease.

Good luck with your purchase!! So many people have had results they are happy with. I only wish that hair growth potions could work for me! :ohwell:

I recently just order MTG and I'm waiting for it to arrive. I spoke to a friend of mine that recently moved down to ATL to open a beauty shop. She told me that MTG was good, but not to use it for more than three months. She said it cause scalp irritation. I want to know have any one that used MTG for more than three month experienced any scalp irritation.

Sorry to hear that MTG didn't agree with you. I am hoping that this "growth potion" is the one for me,I will keep you informed though.have you tried Minoval? Black castor oil?Surge? They seem like good products especially surge ;)
Luckily i have my hair in braids so i dont have to worry to much about styles but the greasiness is a good thing, my 4B hair has never felt so soft and moisturised.
Good luck with looking for a good hair growth product.

there are so many success stories about MTG, Try doing a search. I have not heard anything about scalp irritation but A few people have reported rashes. just be very careful applying it wash hands everytime you touch your hair, wear a towel around your neck when applying and watch out for silver jewellery it will turn black...can anyone else add to this?

I think it just depends on your skin, scalp. I don't think I have sensitive skin/scalp at all, but I "greased" my scalp with MTG (no residue on my neck) and still woke up with a huge rash all over my neck. I think I used too much. I was going to throw it out, but remembered it wasn't free, so I mixed it with my T-tree oil, and only use it occasionally, but I haven't had any problems since.

Good luck and happy MTG'ing!

i used it for way more than 3 months and not a single scalp irritation nada it says on the bottle too to make a patch test cause if you allergic to what s in the product it will cause you irritation same thing with surge if for 24hrs you dont see nothing you can use it a litle bit and make sure its just on the scalp and not neck area wear a shirt cover the neck with a towel and it should work if not you must be reacting to the sulphur in the product

I've used mtg for over 3 months and nothing yet as far as scalp irritation. the secret to reducing the smell is that a little goes a long way. :yep: what you may not think is enough actually is.

does sulphur react with gold and platinum?i cannot afford to mess up my jewellery

I don't know about gold and platimum, but yes, silver does not like sulphur. But, you can buy stuff to clean that up.

I bought a bottle from someone on here back in October and I was holding off using it until I did my relaxer. After hearing so many success stories I think I will crack my bottle open and see what results I get. The smell doesn't bother me and I don't have real sensitive skin so all should go well.

I mix mine with emu oil and aloe vera gel and it cut the smell about 98 % and the greasiness about the same...98%. Add enough aloe vera gel to get the consistency and lack of oiliness you want. Sure brings out the waves and sheen. Gone on holidays. later...bonjour

hey girl, hope your cool. so how much MTG do you actually rub on your scalp? do you use a spray bottle?apply it with your fingers? i feel i could be using too much and trasnsferred it in a spray bottle today. i do have about three spots from using MTG and my newly braided hair looks like its grown out already. looks like i have to take out my braids next month.
i dont know if its me but i feel like i can taste sulfer in my mouth! lol, hope i'm not using too much.....
my 4B hair as less strinkage, feels smooth and controllable. i have a good amount of new growth. I give the credit to Surge as i have been using that over two weeks. MTG only three days!
what braids are the best for MTG?So they dont slip out? i have human hair...a few have came out already!

Are you still using MTG? Are you the lady who's eyebrows grew a lot because of MTG usage? you really inspired me to get it.(not for my eyebrows though)lol. how much growth have you gotten so far?

I've been using Mtg off and on since the summer. When I first start, my scalp was irritated. I suffer from eczema. My hair is less dry and my scalp itches much less than before. Sometimes I use it "straight" but usually mixed with shea butter. As was mentioned, "less is more."

I'm not so sure on the gold, but I'm 99% certain it won't react with platinum. Nothing really does.

I mixed my MTG w/Castor Oil but it's still a little oily, but it leaves my hair so shiny. Maybe I may think about adding aloe vera gel to it.

hey guys, MTG is doing my hair really good. wow my eye brows have even thickened up a little! Lol, My natural 4B hair does not feel so corse now, very smooth and soft. i will update at every oppurtunity.

i cant believe there is so many non believers out there!

Has anyone tried putting some MTG on a mascara brush and use on the eyelashes? I heard ppl got goos results with olive oil and castor oil.
