Oh My GOODNESS>...ok..so lavnder oil cut the smell COMPLETELY!!! Not masking it, diluting it....GIRLS...I DON'T SMELL IT AT ALL!!!!!!!!!
Hallelujah!!!!!
Even w/ the peppermint and Lemon...it left a sickly sweet smell w/ a hint of sulfur.....
Noooooo...it's gone!!! WE'll see tonight if it passes the "can you sleep w/ your SO" test!!!:lachen: :lachen: :lachen: :lachen: :lachen: :lachen: :lachen:

is there a way to make it so that not just drops come out of the essential oils bottle, but like the whole thing is poured out? it takes forever to get a good amount into the MTG cuz it just drip drip drips.

Can buy at health food/whole food store.....I bought mine at Henry's, but I think that it's CA based...
It's made by NOW...there's a website on the side...www.nowfoods.com

And as fox mixing....you should only be usibng a few drops at a time...mix everytime you use..if you try to mix the whole bottle, the scent wears off...i mix 5 drops of lavender to each .5 oz....\HEAVEN!!!

Take that plastic thing (that causes it to drip) off. You may have to use your teeth, and warning...You will get a little essential oil in your mouth.

Thanks girl. Now i know what to buy when i order my MTG. Please post if it passes the test.

Lavender oil can be really overpowering. You might want to cut it with some grapefruit essential oil if you find that to be the case... Personally, I cannot handle the lavender oil, just too overpowering. Someone else, may be the perfect answer. Hope this is the case for you. bonjour

Me too! Call me strange but I can handle MTG over lavernder oil.

Lavendar oil hummmm? I tried it and didn't really like it that much.

This past week, I put in some Rosemary Oil...get this, my BF said it smells like Tea Tree Oil. He kept smelling my hair at the Buick Invitational on Saturday. I surely thought he was going to say "WTF is that in your hair?". Instead, "Honey, why are you smelling my hair?!?!?!" Terrified of the pending answer. :fart: You know how you fellow MTG wearers do that bob and weave when someone gets too close to your hair...! :lachen:

Well he goes..."It smells like Tea Tree Oil, I like it!"  :bouncy:

It passed the sniff test!! :yay:

I was like .."Hey, hand shake./.....the looked at me crazyyyyy! I told them..trust me...I've got a treatment in my hair and you DON'T want to get toooo close"...The white guys looked confused...the black guys were like ..gotcha!!!

OT: VW...like the new pic!!!!! When's he shippin out?

brown, glad you like the lavendar oil. I suggested it because it is good for soothing burns, scraps and irritated skin. Considering what you are going through with your scalp I would not use the grapefruit oil. Can I ask why you are using so many citrus oils? They are known to be possible irritants along with causing photosensitivity. Please don't take offense and I know you are grown, but I think you might be doing too much with the oils with what your scalp is going through. I'm just trying to be helpful. I am pretty versed on EO and know that you really have to respect them and know what they do especially when mixing them. They are very potent if it's a quality oil and can cause issues

Just ot give you some info:

"Throughout history, lavender has been known for its impress healing powers. Its use throughout the ages as a natural antiseptic, antibiotic, anti-depressant, sedative and de-toxifier is still used today to promote healing and prevent or diminish unsightly scar from forming."

Finally, some common day uses for lavender oil in present day society are: for scalds, minor burns (including after-sun), cuts, grazes, inflammation, eczema, dermatitis, fainting, headaches, insomnia, migraines, nausea, bacterial infections, acne, boils, rheumatism and arthritis. Not to re-mention alleviating anxiety, stress and tension, by claming, soothing and relaxing the body and mind.

grapefruit Oil : Precaution = photosensitive, mild irritant , short shelf life once opened and exposure to oxygen.

Oh luv...I APPRECIATE all of the help...grown or not..I don't know EVERYTHING! Personally, I was just dumping things in it to try to mask the scent...I know ABSOLUTLEY NOTHING about EO's and querried others. Since I like that fresh fruitty scent, I tried those eo's.......arrrggghhh! They got me...and the peppermint too. I tried the lavender...may have put toooo much in b/c it was kinda strong last night, but THIS MORNING>>>>>>NO FLAKES!!!!!!! At least not yet...plus, all I put in my hair last pm is Eluc. leave in mixed w/ a little jojoba and cocnut...(plus the MTG of course).....So, thus far...I LUV U!!!! Thank you!!!!

Let's put this as "clean" as I can.....you know it's tooooo strong (he didn't even act like this when I did the MTG STRAIGHT.....it had his eyes watering!!) when you hubby wakes up with "morning tendencies" and keeps his chin up and head turned the WHOLE TIME!!!! I felt sooo bad that I took my woobie (my little throw blanket that I sllep with) and COVERED MY HEAD....not the eye s or nose or anything...but enought to cover the hair...and then HE FACED ME!!!!!!:lachen: :lachen: :lachen: :lachen: :lachen: :lachen: :lachen:

I've found that mixing 10 drops each of lavender, rosemary, cedarwood, and thyme with my MTG cuts the smell completely.
