I've been wanting to try this, but I'm scured. Since being on this board, I've read lots of positive results and not so positive. I actually went to a local vendor that carried it and she talked me right out of it. She strongly urged me not to put this on my hair because of the sulfur content. My hair is thriving now, so shoud I just be patient and wait for my APL to come by Dec 2007. Who grew their hair without mtg and without bunning 24/7 365. I need pics.

is too much sulfur bad for the hair?

As a newbie, I thought about trying it until I learned about the sulfur ingredient because I'm allergic to it. So I purchased Surge instead and will see if that works.

Thanks Growinpainz for the link. Sounds like msm would work, so I ordered some with my vitamins. Towson Girl, the vendor didn't give any particulars and I did not ask. She just really cautioned me because of the high content of sulfur. Since you've started using it, what's it doing for your hair? Any spectacular growth yet?

This is a graet thread - i've been struggling with this too but I'm scared.

Well, I've been using it since August 2006. I had lost my edges due to tight braids, and now my edges look back to normal. To give you a more precise measurement, I had a lil patch of hair in the middle of my head that was pulled out from braids in October, and I used MTG on it and that lil patch is about 1.5" long. I cut the back of my hair 3 wks ago, and have since kept it cornrowed under a weave, but I am using MTG on that as well, and will report progress after my next relaxer. HTH!:)

IF you do decide to use it be extremly careful and only use it on a small patch of hair for a while until you can see how your hair reacts to it.

Some people had lots of success but not me. It was way to strong for my head and I am still suffering. My hair basically starting coming out in clumps after using it for a week on my whole head.

Now I wish I would have just waited and let my hair take its normal course. 3 years of hair care down the drain...... It was doing sooo well before MTG.

It hurts just thinking about it but I'm tryin not to be down about it.

I've been using MTG faithfully for a month for me and my daughters that are 10 and 8. The growth is tremendous. I could not believe how long my 8 yr olds hair grew. (1inch in 3wks) My 10 yr old already had apl hair now it is 1 inch past apl and mine has grown 1 inch too. I will upload pics soon so that you can see the difference, I am away from home.

I used MTG every night on our hair and sometime in the morning. We have had no problems. Maybe you should do a patch test first just to be on the safe side. I love it.:)

I love MTG.. just my two cents. Personally, I think since you can find it for around $16 (for now) in some places, if you want to try it, just try it. I didn't need to see anyone's miracle results because everyone's hair is different. I agree with trying it on a small patch of hair first, just in case you're allergic.
